Course material PLM150 deals with Engineering change management
PLM100 for basics.

Please look for SDN threads before reporting as it leads to duplicates.

Dear Balakrishnan,

Let me share some points on your queries
What is the difference between CC01 and CC31?

CC01 - Is master used to create change number which is called as Engineering Change Number.
CC31 - Is ECR which is Engineering change request

What is the difference between ECN,ECR,ECO ?

ECN - Engineering change number is actually used as tracking for the action for mplementing engineering
change

ECR - Engineering change request which is a request put forth by the engineering team and can be discussed
in cross functional teams in organization to accept or reject based on the impacts

ECO - Engineer change to order - this carries the changes made in design and creating order with respect to
this order and proving out.

Can any one send me the step by step procedure for learning ECM and Revision level and
also the important study topics in SAP-PLM? kindly suggest for any study materials for
SAP-PLM

You can use CC01 transaction to create ECN number and use it to do master data changes like BOM, Material
master, routing etc. This change number will be associated with the master data and you can find the report of
the same in CC07.
Suggest you to go through the link provided Mr. Rupesh which is http://scn.sap.com/thread/790970.

Any specific questions, please ask for clarity.

Sharat

Hi
There is no separate transaction code for ECO, you have to use general production order concept only to do
this. You can use different order type if you track it separately. This is the concept in ECN and not the process
in SAP. Concept used in some business processes, may not be in all.

Hi Balakrishnan, request you to refer the details on link http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-19331. Good to say
thanks by awarding points.

regards,
Sharat
