Attn: APRG Committee:

It is with great honor and eagerness that I highly recommend that you readmit Ms. Barbara Pulliam
into your universitys professional nursing curriculum sequence - Adult Medical Surgical I - so
that not only can she achieve her personal goal, but also serve the larger community of her
patients through healthcare education, advocacy, and compassionate care giving. I have mentored
Ms. Pulliam in the psychology and practice of anger management for the last 14 years and have
consistently witnessed her inherent and natural ability to help and assist others in need of support
and guidance.

She's has also worked with me as a mentor for at risk high school students, helping them to gain
self-respect and to successfully complete high school. In addition, she has willingly devoted her
personal time and energy to helping the elderly with finding medical services, housing,
transportation and many other various kinds of social needs.

It is my humble opinion that Ms. Pulliam possesses the kind of compassionate spirit of service for
the welfare and well-being of others; a solid work ethic based on integrity, thoroughness, and
accuracy and the perseverance to overcome obstacles. All of which, in fact, are the kinds of
strengths that will ensure her success as a future nurse and a benefit to her community, - both
professional and personal. Therefore, I am very happy and pleased to recommend that Ms. Pulliam
be favorably considered for readmission into the nursing program at Chicago State University.

Sincerely,
