Favourable Time for Marriage
The correlation of Mahadasha/Antardasha/Pratyantaradasha with transit helps in timing of
events. Favourable = planets concerned with marriage should be strong and auspicious. We
have to analyse:
1. Relation of MD lord with AD and PD lords: whether they are friends, posited in
Kendra or kona from each other; connected with lagna or lagna lord and also well
posited in vargas (favourable and auspicious results can be expected during their
dasha period)
2. Relation of Nakshatra lords of MD, AD and PD lords: planets which are lord of the
nakshatras which are 2
,
4, 6, 8, 9 from janma nakshatras (sampat, kshema, sadhaka,
maitra and paramamaitra) also give favourable results.
Benefic results can be expected when dasha period is of planet which is:
1. A strong planet
2. Planets in 1, 5, 7, 9, 10 and 12 bhavas and their lords
3. Planets in upachaya from lagna
4. Planets aspected by benefic planets or friendly planets
5. Planet posited with benefic planets
6. Planets posited in the nakshatra of a benefic and auspicious planet
This will also help us in eliminating planets which are concerned with marriage but not
capable of giving marriage during their dasha perios
General Rules
1. Venus is karaka for marriage: dasha or AD of well-placed Venus will definitely give
wife
2. Moon gain of spouse
3. Jupiter gives husband; also Santan Data; according to Parashara, Guru definitely
gives happiness in respect of spouse and children
4. Accoring to Parashara, Rahu favours marriage

B. If a planet is posited in lagna, it means, it has covered all the conditions; i.e., even if
the planet has no connection with 5H/L and 7H/L, but is posited in lagna, it gives
favourable results.
