Skills and work solutions are recruiting a Receptionist to provide a professional and pleasant welcome to customers, callers and visitors, either through face to face contact on Reception or verbally via the telephone. To be based in Manchester City Centre.
The duties of the job include:
Answering all telephone calls professionally and promptly and to provide telephone answering services and the relaying of messages as appropriate. To act as the first point of contact for all our clients and visitors and you should ensure that all centre users are treated in a friendly, appropriate manner and shown courtesy and respect at all times. To undertake a range of administrative duties, including the update of paper and electronic systems, raising POs, ordering stationary etc To handle any complaints in a professional, appropriate manner and ensure that the Centre manager is apprised of any such issues. To work closely with your colleagues to provide a smooth, seamless service to clients and constantly look to improve our working practices. To ensure that all visitors to the centre sign in and out in order to adhere to our Health and Safety Regulations. To meet and exceed the obligations of the agreed Service Level Agreements. To ensure the reception area is clean and tidy at all times To report faults / cleaning issues to the appropriate department To ensure the reception is covered appropriately between 8.30am and 5.00pm To forward any incoming e-mails to relevant person (s) To take a flexible approach to your working hours to ensure that evening events and conferences are fully staffed. To undertake any other duties as requested by the PA, Managers in order to meet the changing needs and demands of the business. To perform such additional or alternative duties as the Company shall, from time to time, reasonably require.

Experience in a similar role. Experience dealing with a wide range of customers looking for work. Excellent communication and organisation skills. Dependability, reliability and the willingness to take responsibility for your own work and cover for others. The ability to work under pressure with a happy, unflustered outlook. The ability to work in a team environment. The ability when needed to work flexible hours. Good ICT Skills A good attention to detail A good clear speaking voice.
