Warfield Communications Jammer Robot
Abstract
On a battle field the communication between the different units of an army is of utmost importance.
Many a times communication can make the difference between victory and defeat. This project is
an attempt at designing a robotic vehicle which is capable of bringing down the communication
system of the opposite army.
This robot is a self navigating one, which uses GPS to automatically navigate itself to the instructed
location. Once the robot reaches the desired location it turns on a FM Transmitter which is tuned to
the communication frequency of the opposing unit. This FM transmitter transmits random noise
continuously. Since the transmission is in the same frequency as that of the communication
frequency of the opposing unit, their communication will become noisy and they will be unable to
do any meaningful communication.
The robot essentially contains a GPS receiver, a microcontroller unit and a RF transceiver, in addition
to the motors that run the robotic vehicle. The robot can be commanded to go to a certain location
using the GPS co-ordinates of the location. These co-ordinates are given to the robot using a RF data
link. Once the robot receives the GPS co-ordinates, the robot starts its process and automatically
navigates itself to the commanded location with the help of the on board GPS receiver.
The GPS receiver continuously gives the information about the current location of the robot. Using
this information the robot navigates itself to the desired location. Once it reaches the desired
location the robot turns on a FM Transmitter which can be tuned to any frequency. The FM
transmitter is previously tuned to the frequency of the opposite unit. When the FM transmitter is
turned on it starts generating a random noise, which will interfere with the transmission of the
opposing unit and disable their communication channels from working reliably.

Existing System
1. At present there is no surveillance system for war field.
2. Jammer units are existing only for mobile phone network towers.

Proposed System
1. The proposed idea uses a robot which is a self navigating one and uses GPS to automatically
navigate itself to the instructed location.
2. Information about hazardous gases and other obstacles is known by using sensors.
3. Since robot is used, there is no need of human intervention and using wireless technology as
a medium for communication, information can be transferred instantaneously.
