THREE FACTORS OF DIVORCES

INTRODUCTION

Attention grabber
when there is love in marriage, there is harmony in the home, when there is harmony in
the home, there is prosperity in the nation, when there is prosperity in the nation, there is
peace in the world.
This Chinese proverb proves that a better marriage lead to a better peace, however we are
destroying this peace by destroying the marriages just with one word, divorce.

Reveal topic
Today, I would like to talk about factors of divorce so we can take an earlier action to
prevent it from happen in our life.

Relevance statements
Divorce is the means of terminating ones marriage. The divorce rate start its upward
swing in the nineteenth century and it increase throughout most of the twentieth. I choose
this topic because I strongly believe that everyone in this room will be married one day.
So it is time for us to take an earlier action by knowing the causes of divorce for a happy
marriage in the future.

1) Having an early marriage
2) Having an employed wife
3) Having low practicing of religion
(Let me start with the first factor of divorce.)

i. HAVING AN EARLY MARRIAGE

A) People who marrying below the age of 21,have greater changes to divorce
i) Younger partners are less mature and unpreparedness to shoulder
responsibility.
ii) Marrying before the age 21,unpreparedness and financial problems are
among the common factors that causes couples to divorce, said Welfare,
Woman and Family Development Minister.

ii. HAVING AN EMPLOYED WIFE

A) Female employment contributes to the likelihood of divorce.
i) Wife less dependent on her husbands earning.
ii) Having conflict over work and family roles because the hours work.
iii) Employment creates more opportunities for partners to meet someone else.

(last but not least, the most important factor cause divorce is less practicing religiosity.)

iii.) LACK OF RELIGIOUS PRACTICE

A) Practicing of religion keep us away from a divorce.
i) Marriage in which wives practicing religion and husband dont practicing
it, have a greater risk of divorce than marriage in which neither spouse do
not practice religion.
ii) Lowest risk of divorce is found among couples in which both partner
practice religion.
B) All religion discourage divorce
i) Highly religious partners are less likely to accept divorce because it
violates their values.
ii) When marital problems arise, religion plays a role in the decision of
whether to seek a divorce.
( so, let me summarise the factors of divorce )

In conclusion, the factors that affect peoples decision to divorce are:
(a) Having an early marriage
(b) Having an employed wife
(c) Having low practicing in religion

II. MEMORABLE CONCLUDING STATEMENT
I hope that we will not easily choose divorce as our final decision and try to
find another ways to overcome the marital problems. I believe that if we take
religion as our guard, we will manage to overcome all the challenges. Religion
will brings love, harmony and peace in our marriage whether we are young,
adults, employed or unemployed person.
