The steps for making hot-chocolate-

Chop the chocolate into small pieces (or use grated/crushed chocolate flakes)
and add to the mixing bowl. To it using the kettle slowly add hot milk containing
sugar and vanilla flavouring. Add the hot milk mixture in small quantities to the
bowl regularly mixing the mixture using the whisker(to melt the chocolate).
When the chocolate milk mixture has reached the desired rich consistency add
sugar and the desired flavourings like vanilla, lime juice, orange juice, cinnamon
etc. Rich hot-chocolate can be served in specially designed en-clusive cups
with chocolate sticks.
eN-clusive
A cup that is made for you
The ritual of making hot- chocolate is reduced to mere opening a sachet and putting it in the hot
milk or water. This has hampered experiencing of fragrance and taste of real chocolate. Choc-
ware is a set of glass and ceramic tableware that is specially designed for making hot chocolate
so that the maker can have an enhanced experience of having hot chocolate. The set consists of
a bowl, kettle, whisker, cups& saucer and small pots.
This new set aims to bring back experience to the ritual of making and drinking hot chocolate in
an improved way. The en-clusive cups are also specially designed so that the handle doesn't
come in the way of experiencing the warmth of the hot chocolate. The set allows the users to
follow the fixed steps thus he doesn't need to remember recipe but still can also give his own
touch to the recipe. The project was undertaken for the course formstudy 4 - Zen and the art of
design ; where the ritual of making hot chocolate was analyzed to develop the final product.

The aim of this project was to improve the product strategy for Sony Ericsson Accessories for the years 2010-
2012 and present Product proposals that are focused on the user who is listening to wireless wearable media
(music/voice/video/game) and who will be operating this content during mobile use. Extensive user research
was done for the project and incorporated techniques like cultural probes, generative sessions, user
interviews, and focus groups to analyze user behaviors.
The results of these were translated into personas, design directions, interaction vision and product concepts
using the vision in product design (ViP) methodology. Acceptability by the user was the main aspect of this
project which required understanding of core requirements of the user to separate them into new phone
accessories with basic function. This was group project done for the course Integral design project in
collaboration with the development unit of Sony Ericsson Accessories. This part only mentions the user
research and analysis phase of the project.

The device is a next generation alarm clock that uses gradually increasing combination of light, sound, heat
fragrance and vibration to progressively wakeup the user so that he/she feels fresh and relaxed. The system
is designed to produce pleasant and serene feeling in the user. The complete system is incorporated in a bed
which has lights and speakers integrated into the top portion. The vibration system is integrated in the
mattress and the pillow while the temperature system is integrated in the blanket and pillow. The pillow also
has the LED's integrated into it. The whole system also comes with a wrist band that detects the REM sleep
modes using and EEG sensor so that the user is woken up only from the light sleep (to avoid any sleep
inertia). The levels of all the four systems are maintained to be within comfortable limits to the user so that the
actual wake-up is a clam and relaxing experience.
This project was carried for the course tactility and the aim of which was to explore and improve the
tactual experience encountered while interacting with products. The use of temperature and vibration was
explored and proven by conducting different experiments.

The sustainable toy is constructed from used paper cups and rubber-bands. It mainly consists of
two modules as shown in the images below. These can be connected to each other to create
complex structures. The toy supports the construction play activity among kids from 3yrs and
above. The toy promotes kids to collect cups for construction of complex structures thus promoting
recycling and sustainability in them. The simple nature of the toy makes it possible for them to
create and construct the toy themselves.
The toy was developed for Sustainable toy competition conducted in Industrial design department
at Technical university of Delft. The aim was to develop a toy from scrap material that will promote
aspects sustainability whilst providing scope for creativity in kids from bottom of the pyramid
countries. The idea to prototype for this toy was developed within 4 hrs. The said concept was
adjudged as the competition winner.

The UltraBeam is a mobile scaffold system, specially designed to be used in the renovation of one
storey family houses and is targeted at construction workers and painters who required temporary
scaffolding The construction is based on two vertical beams with a lifting system for the working
platform with a length of 4 to 9m. The construction can easily be erected by 2 persons in a relatively
short time.
After selling 'UltraBeam'for four years Skyworks B.V was aiming to enter it into the rental service
business The focus of this project was to redesign and optimize the Ultrabeam to develop a
compact, lightweight, robust, easy to use and assemble prototype for meeting new requirements of
rental service whilst confining to the scaffolding standards and rules of safety. Design for
manufacturing and assembly techniques along with FEA tools and methods were used to achieve
17% reduction in weight with 23% increase in stiffness. This was a group project conducted for the
course Project Advanced Products

'Repair toolbox for Cosmo girls' is a toolbox that is more feminine, smooth, and elegant in nature. It has
protruding corners, sleek curves along with smooth corners and uses transparent materials so as to share the
prototypical features with current toolboxes. These features have been chosen to show overall style similar with
the current products used by the anticipated user. On the other hand the concept has strap/belt that facilitates the
graceful and elegant interaction for the user. The form of the tools is modified to be more sleek and elegant. It has
prototypical features that are shared with current toolboxes in general while integrating behavior typical features
of Cosmo girls. The design meets the criteria resulted from the imaging process.
The said project was carried out for the course design manifestation where the aim was to address theoretical
aspects of a product's manifestation resulting from a product form creation process especially with respect to
social-cultural history, semiotics, cognitive semantics and methodology of product form creation. The concept of
style was the central theme of the course and the challenge was to transform the behavior- typical features of the
product without changing the prototypical features of the current repair toolbox- i.e. transformation from
powerful-holding-fast-masculine to subtle-touchy-feminine object.

Spiral Scratch Ltd has developed an IP portfolio for a unique and inexpensive way to scan objects
and convert them into 3D depth maps. The scanning can be done using ordinary projectors and
digital cameras taking advantage of the inherent lens properties of both. The technique is based
on the '3fM' principle. Spiral scratch has developed a number of prototypes that operates on this
principle. The plan was to utilize this technique to the development of real-time 3D face scanner
that would capture 3D models at animation rate.
This project was undertaken to investigate the use of 3fM to capture 3D information at animation
