ALL TYPE OF Interview Question and Answer

Mental fear of the unknown is often what produces the physical symptoms of nervou sness. In addition to preparing yourself physically, you also need to prepare
yourself mentally. The best way to prepare mentally is to know what may be coming. Fear of the unknown can only exist when there is an unknown. Take the time to
understand some of the "standards" when it comes to interviewing questions.In reviewing the below responses, please remember that these are sample answers.
Please do not rehearse them verbatim or adopt them as your own.

Answers to Some Interview Questions ,
Describe the ideal job?
Ideally, I would like to work in a fun, warm environment with individuals working independently towards team goals or individual goals. I am not concerned about
minor elements, such as dress codes, cubicles, and the level of formality. Most important to me is an atmosphere that fosters attention to quality, honesty, and
integrity.

What type of supervisor have you found to be the best?
I have been fortunate enough to work under wonderful supervisors who have provided limited supervision, while answering thoughtful questions and guiding
learning. In my experience, the best supervisors give positive feedback and tactful criticism.

What sort of criteria are you using to decide the organization you will work for?
Most importantly, I am looking for a company that values quality, ethics, and teamwork. I would like to work for a company that hires overachievers.

Which subjects have you enjoyed studying the most and why?
I have enjoyed hydrology, fluids, solid & hazardous waste management, water and wastewater treatment, and oceanography because I love water and environmental
topics. Calculus and linear algebra excite me because I love logic. I enjoyed the writing and analysis in economic history. Business law thrilled me because I have a
strong interest in legal matters.

How would a professor who knows you well describe you? One who does not know you well?
A professor who knows me well would likely describe my personal qualities: sweet, down-to-earth, smart, hard-working, and conscientious. As specific examples of
those who did not know me well, my soils professor and soils teaching assistant each considered me smart and respectful, and both thought that I must have enjoyed
the class a lot, due to my performance.

Given the chance, how would you alter your education?
Knowing now what I like the most, I would have used my electives for extra math and psychology classes, since I tend to be well-rounded enough that a variety of
classes are unnecessary; my personal reading is diverse enough. I have found that mathematics and psychology are helpful to all career and life paths.

Which part-time job did you enjoy the most and why?
Working for PM Environmental was most enjoyable to me, since I felt like I was significantly contributing to the company, and I enjoyed learning on my own.

Interests: Some of my interests include dogs, hiking, snow-shoeing, water sports, writing, reading (especially Charles Dickens' novels), skiing, drawing, crafts, and
computers.

What are your strengths?
My strongest strength is the ability to teach myself difficult material, regardless of the subject (with the exception of theater and drawing blood from dogs, which I
have no talent for). Additionally, I have always excelled verbally and look forward to writing opportunities.

What are your weaknesses?
I tend to try to do too many things, leaving little time for myself. I have worked on balancing myself for the last several months. I am also working on improving my
public speaking skills.

Which is more important to you, your salary or your job?
Salary is important, but I couldn't stay with a job that brought me misery when I could support myself doing something else; hence, my job is more important.

What have you found to be the biggest source of motivation in your life?
Taking advantage of my strengths so that they are not wasted. Since nobody is lucky enough to be strong in every area, I think it is important to make good use of
one's strengths.

What sorts of things cause you stress, and how do you deal with them?
Lack of organization throws me off. To deal with this, I come up with some kind of system to organize things, even if it is only in my head, in the case when chaos is
desirable.

What is your definition of success?
Being a good person by improving the quality of the lives of others, whether it be through work, doing sweet things, improving the environment/community, taking
care of one's family, etc. Superficially, I tend to measure success by level of education and abilities within one's career; however, I try to remind myself of the things
that are more important.

Do you like to work independently or as a team?
I like to work independently towards a team goal.

What kind of work environment do you like the best?
I enjoy working with friendly co-workers who can share a laugh while working hard and overachieving.

In what areas do you need to improve your skills?
I would like to improve my public speaking skills.

Interview question what are your strong points,
It is important to prepare in advance for the interview question what are your strong points. If you've already listed your strengths when preparing your CV / resume,
coming up with three answers shouldn't be too difficult.

But be careful. The interviewer is asking you to sell yourself, but at the same time, they do not want to hear you being arrogant. And while they may want to know
about your personality (if you are overconfident they will certainly learn something about you), do remember that this is still an interview situation, so your answers
must be relevant to the job in question. In other words, don't get too personal.

So how do you go about answering the interview question what are your strong points? The general recommendation is to prepare at least three answers and to
relate them to the organisation and the vacancy. This means you need to tailor your answers. Ensure there is truth in what you say, but do not be too honest,
especially it makes you sound like a less than ideal candidate.

Here are some suggested responses and the reasons why they might work in interviews for certain kinds of jobs.

"I am confident and outgoing"
This is a response that says something about your personality, but if you are applying for a role where you need to relate to a lot of people - particularly the public - it
will serve your purposes. However, if the vacancy involves consultation, it might be better to say "I have good interpersonal skills", as this implies that you are able to
listen to people as well.

"I enjoy a challenge"
Be careful with this. It is an excellent response if the vacancy requires problem solving, or servicing of some kind, working to tight deadlines or project completion. It
will obviously not be helpful if the job is less dynamic and involves a larger amount of regular, less exciting duties - the employer might be concerned that you will
become bored. You could always qualify it to offer a more balanced response: "I enjoy a challenge, but I'm also happy completing regular tasks." Then it illustrates that
you're flexible and responsive to different work situations.

"I'm a strong team leader"
Clearly, this is appropriate if the job involves managing people. It's a good idea to show that you know what leading a team involves (although this will no doubt come
up in other questions too). So, "I'm a strong team leader with the ability to motivate others" and "I'm a strong team leader who leads by example" represent stronger
answers. Draw on your own understanding of your management skills plus the job description to decide what you'll say here.

"I am ambitious"
This is a very strong answer and you should use it with care. In the wrong situation, it can sound hard-headed and the employer may wonder whether you'll compete
too fiercely with your colleagues, or even your superiors. However, in a sales role it might be perfect, especially if you focus your response a little more: "I am
ambitious and aim to exceed targets".

"I am dedicated and hard working"
You're on safe ground here, as this can be true whatever your individual working style. It's not the most exciting answer, but when presented alongside two others
that are more individual, it should offer reassurance to the interviewer.

"I am a good communicator"
Again, this is a win-win answer. Be prepared to expand, though: specify whether you have strong writing skills, are good at explaining difficult ideas in a simple way,
or perform well at important meetings.

"I work well without supervision"
A majority of employers would be pleased to hear this, providing the vacancy is at a level where they'd normally expect you to need a degree of supervision. But be
careful not to sound as if you prefer to work without supervision, as this may sound as if you risk coming into conflict with your supervisor or manager. A safer option
might be to state "I work well with or without supervision".

"I enjoy learning through my work"
Again, this is a safe answer. The interviewer might then ask how you have done this in the past, so be ready to give details of some hands-on learning or special
training you've experienced, and to say why you enjoyed it.

And finally,
These examples show that when preparing an answer to the interview question what are your strong points, it is important to consider whether your responses could
be taken the wrong way. Put yourself in the interviewer's shoes - you can then ensure that the potential for a negative interpretation is removed.

1. Why Do You Want to Work in This Industry?
Ive always loved shopping, but my interest in retail marketing really started when I worked at a neighborhood boutique. I knew our clothes were amazing, but that
we werent marketing them properly. So I worked with management to come up with a marketing strategy that increased our sales by 25% in a year. It was great to be
able to contribute positively to an industry I feel so passionate about, and to help promote a product I really believed in.

2. Tell Us About Yourself.
Im really energetic, and a great communicator. Working in sales for two years helped me build confidence, and taught me the importance of customer loyalty. Ive
also got a track record of success. In my last role, I launched a company newsletter, which helped us build on our existing relationships and create new ones. Because
of this, we ended up seeing a revenue increase of 10% over two years. Im also really interested in how companies can use web tools to better market themselves, and
would be committed to building on your existing platform.

3. What Do You Think of Your Previous Boss?
My last boss taught me the importance of time management he didnt pull any punches, and was extremely deadline-driven. His no-nonsense attitude pushed me to
work harder, and to meet deadlines I never even thought were possible.

4. Why Are You Leaving Your Current Role?
Ive learned a lot from my current role, but now Im looking for a new challenge, to broaden my horizons and to gain a new skill-set all of which, I see the potential
for in this job.

5. Where Do You See Yourself in Five Years?
In five years Id like to have an even better understanding of this industry. Also, I really love working with people. Ultimately, Id like to be in some type of managerial
role at this company, where I can use my people skills and industry knowledge to benefit the people working for me, and the company as a whole."

6. Whats Your Greatest Weakness?
Ive never been very comfortable with public speaking which as you know, can be a hindrance in the workplace. Realizing this was a problem, I asked my previous
employer if I could enroll in a speech workshop. He said yes. I took the class, and was able to overcome my lifelong fear. Since then, Ive given lots of presentations to
audiences of over a 100 high level executives I still dont love it, but no one else can tell!

7. What Salary Are You Looking For?
Im more interested in the role itself than the pay. That said, Id expect to be paid the appropriate range for this role, based on my five years of experience. I also think
a fair salary would bear in mind the high cost of living here in New York City.

8. Why Should I Hire You?
Ive been an Executive Assistant for the past ten years my boss has said time and time again that without me, the organization would fall apart. Ive also taken the
time to educate myself on some of the software I regularly use (but didnt really understand the ins and outs of). Im an Excel wiz now, which means I can work faster,
and take over some of what my boss would traditionally have had to do himself. Whats good enough for most people is never really good enough for me.

9. What Is Your Greatest Failure, and What Did You Learn From It?
When I was in college, I took an art class to supplement my curriculum. I didnt take it very seriously, and assumed that, compared to my Engineering classes, it
would be a walk in the park. My failing grades at midterm showed me otherwise. Id even jeopardized my scholarship status. I knew I had to get my act together. I
spent the rest of the semester making up for it, ended up getting a decent grade in the class. I learned that no matter what Im doing, I should strive to do it to the best
of my ability. Otherwise, its not worth doing at all.

10. How Do You Explain Your Gap in Employment?
My work is important to me, so I wont be satisfied with any old job. Instead of rushing to accept the first thing that comes my way, Im taking my time and being
selective to make sure my next role is the right one."

11. When were you most satisfied in your job?
Im a people person. I was always happiest and most satisfied when I was interacting with customers, making sure I was able to meet their needs and giving them
the best possible customer experience. It was my favorite part of the job, and it showed I was rated as Good or Excellent 95% of the time. Part of the reason Im
interested in this job is that I know Id have even more interaction with customers, on an even more critical level."

12. What did you like least about your last job?
There was nothing about my last job that I hated, but I guess there were some things I liked less than others. My previous role involved traveling at least twice a
month. While I do love to travel, twice a month was a little exhausting I didnt like spending quite so much time out of the office. Im happy to see that this role
involves a lot less travel.

13. Describe a time when you did not get along with a co-worker.
I used to lock heads with a fellow nurse in the INCU ward. We disagreed over a lot of things from the care of patients to who got what shifts to how to speak with a
childs family. Our personalities just didnt mesh. After three months of arguing, I pulled her aside and asked her to lunch. At lunch, we talked about our differences
and why we werent getting along. It turns out, it was all about communication. We communicated differently and once we knew that, we began to work well together.
I really believe that talking a problem through with someone can help solve any issue.

14. What motivates you?
Ive always been motivated by the challenge of meeting a tough deadline in my last role, I was responsible for a 100% success rate in terms of delivering our
products on time and within budget. I know that this job is very fast-paced, and deadline-driven Im more than up for the challenge. In fact, I thrive on it.

15. How would your friends describe you?
My friends would probably say that Im extremely persistent Ive never been afraid to keep going back until I get what I want. When I worked as a program
developer, recruiting keynote speakers for a major tech conference, I got one rejection after another this was just the nature of the job. But I really wanted the big
players so I wouldnt take no for an answer. I kept going back to them every time there was a new company on board, or some new value proposition. Eventually,
many of them actually said yes the program turned out to be so great that we doubled our attendees from the year before. A lot of people might have given up after
the first rejection, but its just not in my nature. If I know something is possible, I have to keep trying until I get it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How would you describe yourself?
I used to be a harder person in the past, but now I am a little bit more emotional, probably because Ive beem working in a team, and according the time passes we
tend to change our feelings. Also Im patient and committed.
ACCOUNTING: INTERVIEW TIPS
Why accounting?
A stereotypical answer to this question is that accountancy offers a respected professional qualification which can lead on to a wide range of opportunities in business.
This is all true, but it doesnt answer the question of why YOU want to become an accountant and if you give as general an answer as this, you can expect to be
questioned in detail on the nature of the qualification and the opportunities you see it leading to.
Much of the income of the larger accountancy firms now comes from consultancy and related services rather than from audit. Even in audit you will spend much of
your time visiting clients and asking questions, so good interpersonal skills are important. Your answer to this question should probably make this point.
Accountancy is now a fast changing profession, so they are looking for individuals with initiative who can manage change. Ensure that you have a considered answer
to this question. It is bound to be asked
What qualities do you have that make you a good accountant?
Aside from the obvious ones such as numeracy and interpersonal skills, key skills will include determination and self discipline (to get through the difficult
professional examinations) and an interest in the business world generally. An ability to work in (and ultimately lead) teams, strong analytical skills, good verbal and
written communication skills and curiosity (particularly on the audit side) are some of the others you could mention if you arent strong in some of these areas then
you may have problems making a persuasive case for yourself.
You are likely to be asked many questions seeking evidence of these particular competencies and will be expected to give examples which are backed up with
evidence: for example, if asked about your leadership qualities, you should give an example of where you led a group successfully rather than just stating people
always look to me to take the lead.
Why have you applied at our firm?
Quantifiable differences between chartered accountancy firms are often found on the basis of size rather than between individual firms. In general, the Big Four offer
more international opportunities, household-name clients, more structured training, the chance to specialise in particular industries. Smaller firms usually market
themselves on factors such as greater client contact, greater variety of work (shorter audits at smaller clients), early responsibility, work-life balance, friendliness and
smaller audit teams. In the end, graduates often choose between similar types of firm on the basis of the company culture and atmosphere, which often boils down to
which of them seemed the friendliest at interview!
The interviewer will have expected you to have done your research on the firm not just reading the careers section of their website but looking at the pages for
clients, press releases etc.
It is worth noting here that chartered accountancy employers are FIRMS: not companies. A candidate who refers to the firm as a company will reveal a lack of
knowledge and annoy the interviewer.
Tell me about a situation where you showed determination?
Questions like this are designed to bring out evidence of the qualities that you have which you will need to do the job. Be very well prepared with examples of
situations where you have used these skills. If you have answered a few demanding graduate application forms, you will have come across most of these questions and
prepared answers.
Other situations which are frequently asked about include the following:
Give an example of when you:
* Planned something.
* Took on responsibility.
* Led a team.
* Had to cope with pressure.
* Dealt with an unreasonable person.
* Had to make a difficult decision?
* Used initiative
* Influenced others.
* Solved a problem.
