Auma Multi Turn Actuators

Model SA
All Crane butterfly valves can be equipped with
actuators for remote control. Actuators with gears are
sized for 90 swing angle.
Basic Equipment
Multi turn actuator with worm gear and automatically
declutching hand-wheel, easy adjustable limit swit-
ches for open and closed position, infinitely adjusta-
ble torque switches for opening and closing direction
and mechanical position indicator.
Corrosion protection by two-component iron-mica
combination, silvergrey (similar to RAL 9007). Motor
insulation class F, protected against overheating by
thermoswitches embedded in the motor windings.
Permissible variation of nominal voltage 5%.
Overvoltage may result in temperature rise, under-
voltage in decrease of actuator torque.
Following standard executions of the Auma Multi
Turn Actuators Model SA are available:
Model SA and SAEx for open/closed duty
Model SAR and SAREx for modulating duty
Model SAM, SAMEx, SARM and SARMEx with
integral controls ready for use with local controls
and switching elements.

Auma Multi Turn Actuators can be supplied with the
following special motors:
Protection class IP68 (submersion up to 6 m head
of water, max 72 h, max 10 operations)
Low temperature -60C to +60C
High temperature 0C to +120C
Accessories
The adaption of AUMA Multi Turn Actuators to the
requirements of nearly every valve automation task
is possible by many accessories as
DUO-limit switching with two more limit switches
for intermediate positions.
Remote position transmission by potentiometers
Remote position transmission by electronic trans-
mitters as 2 wire system with output signal 4-20mA
or as 3 or 4 wire system with output signal 0/4-20mA
Tandem limit and torque switches for switching two
different potentials
Integral Control System Auma-Matic
Actuators with integral controls are supplied ready for use
with local controls and switching elements. They save the
high costs of external controls and switching elements.

Valves Program
Electric Actuators Series EQT
These electric actuators are designed for valves
requiring quarterturn operation. They are especially
suitable for assembly with all FLOWSEAL- and
CENTERLINE Butterfly Valves.
Actuators model EVN can be used on/off-actuators
or as control actuators. The running time of motors
is limited to 30% in on/off-operation (according to
VDE 0530 short-time operation S2:10 min.).
The actuator casing is made of Aluminium and is fit-
ted with a protective painting on epoxy-resin basis.
The class of protection of the operator is IP65.
Modell EVN actuators have the following special
features:
adjustable travel limit switches
thermal cutouts, tropical insolated
actuator flange according to DIN/ISO 5211
mechanical position indication
maintenance-free due to silicone-free permanent
lubrication by the factory
self-locking gear
Standard Confi gurati on:
Model EVN Actuators are equipped with the follo-
wing accessories as standard features:
4 limit switches, which can be adjusted over the
entire actuator travel.
1 torque switch for open and closed position (not
with models EVN B to C)
handwheel for manual override

ber is to be stated according to the following specifi-
cations.
Installation:
When ordering the electrical actuators together with
Crane butterfly valves, the two units are supplied
completely mounted, adjusted and tested.
As supplementary equipment of a Crane butterfly
valve, the actuators can be suppplied with an appro-
priate mounting kit or mounted directly if a corres-
ponding DIN/ISO connection exists.
