ANTECEBENT FACTS:
About sometime on Naich 1S, 194S, accuseu anu with othei membeis of the Communist Paity of the
Philippines (CPP) suppoit, piomote, maintain, cause anu commanu the Bukbalahaps to take aims against
the Republic of the Philippines. The taking of aims gave iise to multiple aimeu iaius, soities, aimy
uetachments, muiuei, pillage, plunuei, aison, among otheis. The chaos it cieateu accomplisheu 1S attacks
on goveinment foices anuoi civilians.

In the same vein, Beinanuez conspiieu in oiganizing the Congiess of Laboi 0iganizations (CL0) which is
an agency anu instiumentality of the CPP anu thus also helpeu in the activities of the Bukbalahap in its
iebellion against the uoveinment of the Philippines.

helping uiffeient factoiies foi unions with an objective to cieate a ievolutionaiy ciisis impossible
uemanus, stiike, anu oveithiow the goveinment. Be is sentenceu a penalty of ieclusion peipetua.

With iegaius to the othei appeal, which is the main issue of the case, CFI chaigeu the uefenuants the
ciime of Rebellion with multiple muiuei, aisons, anu iobbeiies. If the ciime was complexeu, the penalty
foi the most seiious ciime shall be imposeu.
