Status Profiles in SAP

You can create Status profiles for documents or transactions and then set up
authorizations for certain activities. The result is we can enable select personnel as
authorized to carry out the activities blocked by status profiles.
Create Status Profile
1 Create status profile in eneral status manaement as shown below !"S#$% or via
&'( ))* Sales + ,istribution - Sales - Sales documents - ,efine + Assin Status
Profile.

Set initial indicator for your re5uired status4 enerally system sets initial automatically for
the first status.
Specify authorization key in authorization code field. !See below for creation of
authorization key%.

Save status profile.



9. Assin status profile to document types !:;:<% + item cateories !:;:=% as
re5uired.




Authorization >ey
0nter authorization key + description in "S6$ and save. Authorization key is assined to
status profile and is used to create authorization for user role.

Authorizations to perform a particular action in the 7@1 system can be created !and
included in re5uired user roles% via authorizationob2ects. Create authorization for

Test Status
Profile

$ Create sales order and check status !sales document header - status tab%. Status is
blocked and user status is P7C !from status profile%.
Click on ob2ect status button !Sales document header- status tab - ob2ect status% and
both statuses from status profile can be seen.

sales order price.
After selectin E704 overall blkd status chaned to B/ot blockedC as under.
