We caught up with
self starter media
alumni, Adam Tyler, to
find out how coffee,
pig-headedness and,
well, stuff has fuelled
his passion for writing
has helped him embark
on a new business
venture:
WHAT ARE YOU UP
TO NOW?
I am a freelance writer
and the founder of
Hollow Dell Media.
Right now, my main
responsibilities include
promotion and content
management for Hollow
Dell Media.
WHAT SPARKED
YOUR BUSINESS
IDEA?
The idea was always
there with me. I always
enjoyed writing and
meeting new people,
and felt it was time to
really establish myself
online which, for
better or for worse,
is where it all happens
now!
WHATS NEXT
FOR YOU IN YOUR
CAREER AND LIFE?
I hope to establish
myself further as a
self-employed writer
by working on a
number of my own
projects both alone,
and with the support
of Hollow Dell Media.
I dont try to predict
where my life will be,
only that there will be
plenty of long, coffee-
fuelled nights ahead of
me!
northhertscollege Adam
Tyler joins NHC students
for a media masterclass
HOW DID YOUR
TIME AT NHC
INFLUENCE YOU?
When I joined North
Hertfordshire College,
I had next to no idea
what I wanted to do. It
was only by meeting
the people in my
course, by talking
with the tutors and by
having the freedom
to explore my
interests, was
I able to really nail
down what I wanted
to do.
DO YOU HAVE
ANY ADVICE
YOU COULD GIVE
POTENTIONAL
OR CURRENT
STUDENTS?
My main piece of
advice to give to
anybody is dont be
afraid of failure. We
all experience it in
some way or another.
Its the act of picking
yourself back up that
defines us. Each time
you fall, youll get
back up stronger than
before you just have
to take that step.
