Have you ever just wanted
to make a quick and
inexpensive raglan tee that

from your stash and you'll
be finished before you can
mutter, "Je l'adore!"

Each color is knit for 13 rows. Apart from the beginning and end, this pattern
does not instruct when to change colors. This is done to simplify the pattern for
the people who choose to add or subtract decreases/increases to fit the raglan to
the shape of their body. You must make sure that you are counting 13 rows per
color as you continue through the pattern.

Kf&b= Knit into the front and back of that stitch. (This is done on the stitches
before and after a place marker.) DPN's=double pointed needles
K= knit P=purl St(s)= stitch(es) RD(S)=round(s) PM=place
marker M=marker MC=grey CC=pale green K2tog= knit 2 sts together
SSK=slide, slide and knit those together. M1=make 1 stitch (an increase)

Step One: The Neckline Ribbing:

the ribbing is loose-
fitting. Use smaller needles for the
ribbing if you know you have small
shoulders. You can do more rows to
make up for the lack of ribbing
height.

1. Cast on with MC: 152 (164)(176)
sts on size US8 circular needles; join
the rd.
2. Divide with PM's where the dashes
are while working the first 2x2
ribbing rd: (1st #=the front; 2nd
#=sleeve 1; 3rd #=the back; 4th
#=sleeve 2)

------Small: 47-29-47-29
------Medium: 50-32-50-32
------Large: 53-35-53-35

3. Knit in *k2, p2* ribbing for 2.5 inches.
4. Attach the CC & change your needles to size US9 circular needles (without
ribbing). Every time you change colors, cut the old one, leaving a long tail.

Step Two: Arm Increases: repeat rds 1-3 about 7 times. Larger sizes may need
more.

Round 1: Kf&b, *knit to 1 st before M, Kf&b, slide M, Kf&b* knit up to last st,
Kf&b.
Round 2-3: Knit the entire round without increasing (knit straight).

Keep this in mind: while you have completed the rd repeats about 5 times,
you should take the extra circular needle, put half of your work on it and see how close
the knitting is to falling at your armpits. Does it look like you need more repeats? Less?
This is your chance to save yourself from frogging.

Next row:

Knit to the 1st M before the sleeve
sts, slide M onto right needle. Slide
all of the sleeve sts onto scrap
yarn/stitch holder. Cast on 2(4)(6)
sts onto the right needle, then slide
the 2nd sleeve M onto the right
needle and knit to the next M (before
the next sleeve sts). Slide M, slide
sleeve sts onto scrap yarn/stitch
holder, cast on 2(4)(6) sts onto the
right needle, slide the 2nd M onto
right needle.

Step Three: The Main Body:
-If you are not planning on doing
side-shaping, simply knit straight in
the rd for 11-13 inches (you must end
in CC) and proceed to step 4.

not done in the original pattern, but here's some
instructions as guidance. To begin: make sure there is a "stitch marker" at the
beginning of the round and also half way among your total stitches, which will
mark your hip/waist area. Knit for 3'' straight before starting the decrease rds.

: Repeat decrease instructions
4 times (or to your liking):

Rd 1: K1, ssk, knit straight until 3 sts before "side marker," k2tog, k1, sl m, k1, ssk,
knit straight until 3 sts before "beginning marker," k2tog, k1.
Rds 2-5: Knit straight.

Try on the sweater as you go. Everyone's body is shaped differently;
be the judge of what you need more or less of.

repeat increase instructions 4 times:

Rd1: K1, m1, knit until 1 st before side marker, m1, k1, sl m, k1, m1, knit until 1 st
before "beginning of round marker," m1, k1.
Rds 2-5: Knit straight.

Step Four: Bottom Ribbing:
1. Using MC, do *k2, p2* ribbing for 5 inches, then BO.

Step five: The Sleeves: (Make Two)
1. Along the gap under the saved sleeve sts, pick up 11 sts using the CC (or finish
up the MC, if you had another rd or two to go). Please refer to the internet or
Youtube for tutorials on "picking up stitches" if you are uncertain.
2. Put new sts and saved sleeve sts evenly onto 3 DPNs; join rd. Make sure you
have a multiple of 4. If you don't, just add a stitch or two in the gap area.
3. Do about 7 rds with CC, then switch to MC.
4. With MC, do *K2,P2*
ribbing for 1.5 inches with
size US7 or US8.
5. BO all sts and weave in all
remaining ends.
