Students are expected to
1. Understanding about the country. The understanding would be established
from all the facts gathered from the history of Malaysia.
2.
List down all the right facts which influenced the development and
changes of Malaysian socio-politics.
3. Apply all the knowledge about the nationhood in a real life and at the same
time gained a great patriotic spirit.

Discuss the basic facts regarding to the progress of nation building in

List the factors that became the points of major changes in the history of

Explain the outcomes of major changes in the history of the country.

Determine the implication that resulted from the changes of socioeconomic and politics of the country. (C3,A4, P3)
Analyze the development of Malaysia history and its implication
towards Malaysian socio-politic and economy. (C4, P3, A3)
Demonstrate the knowledge through appropriate behavior in activities
involving nationalism, volunteerism and leadership. (C3, P2, A3)

Communication, critical thinking and problem solving, teamwork, information
management and continuous skill, professional ethics and leadership skill.

14. Teaching-learning and assessment strategy:


Mixed method between teacher-centered and student-centered. For the assessment
strategy it is a continuous assessment.

15. Synopsis:
Malaysian Nationhood Studies is a course created to introduce the history of
Malaysian nation building. The course will discuss all aspects of the nation
building based on social, history and politics of the country. The emphasis of
this course is the continuous of Malaysian history and it impact to the scenario
of socio-politic and economy in Malaysia.

16. Mode of Delivery:


Lectures, discussions and presentations.

17. Assessment Methods and Types:


Coursework (Mid Term Test (20%), Quiz (10%), Group assignment (20%) and
Presentation (10%) or Topical Tests.
Examination (Final Examination) (40%)

Each group required to submit a group assignment according to this topics:
1. Malay Traditional Society: An Analysis and Significant.
2. The Continuity and Change of Malayan Society: From Traditional to Modern.
3. The Impact of British Colonialization (1874-1957) towards Malaya.
4. The History of Chinese Immigrant in Malaya.
5. The History of Indian Immigrant in Malaya.
6. The Impact of Japanese Occupation on Malaya 1941-1945.
7. Malayan Independence (1957): Negotiation and Process.
8. The Overview of Malaysian Constitution.
9. Malaysia: As I See
10. 1 Malaysia Concept: A General Discussion.
