Science End of Chapter 3 Test (How Plants & Animals Live) – Wednesday
23rd December 2009

We will have a test on the topics found in the third chapter of the science book
on Wednesday, insha’ Allah. Please note that we’re testing the children’s oral
comprehension of the key words and concepts in the chapter, not their reading
or spelling abilities. The format will be that I will read aloud a question to the
children and they will then have to select an answer from a choice of three
which will also be read aloud to them.

To revise, I suggest that you check your child understands the meaning of the
words that you find highlighted in yellow in the colour textbook lessons and
the words found in boxes in the workbook exercises. In addition he should be
able to orally answer the questions found in the “lesson checkpoint” at the end
of each lesson in the textbook.

I will send home both the science textbook and workbook each evening this
week to allow for review. However, please ensure that you bring both of these
to class each day as we will be using them in school too.
