PT. Bumi Suksesindo (BSI) is a privately held Indonesian gold and copper mining company. The company is
owned by some of the countrys most successful and well respected mining executives.
Exploration at the Tujuh Bukit project in the Banyuwangi region, East Java has delineated a world class
gold/copper ore-body, with an expected mine life in excess of 25 years. The initial phase of the project involves
open pit mining and processing of the gold/silver rich oxide cap. Construction on this project is planned to
commence in the last quarter of 2014, with first production in early 2016.
The company seeks mining professionals to fill the following positions within a growing organisation.
Successful candidates will be required to work a four weeks on, two weeks off roster. Living conditions on site are
located in idyllic surroundings along the south eastern coast of Java.

Mining Manager (Open Pit)
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the GM Mining, this position will play a key role in starting-up of mining operations from
construction stage.
Requirements:
Degree qualification in Mining Engineering (preferred)
Minimum 15 years experience in a leadership position for an open-pit metal mine
Production experience is essential for this position
Thorough knowledge of mine planning, conventional truck/excavator mining, drill & blast, grade
control, plus thorough knowledge of environmental legislation and best practices
Hold certificate of Pengawas Operasional Utama (POU)
Mine Planning Superintendent
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Mining Manager, this person will be responsible for the technical planning services for
the mine.
Requirements:
Degree qualification in Mining Engineering
10 years experience in an open-pit metal mining with minimum 5 years in a leadership position
Experience with mine planning systems such as SURPAC essential
Some production experience will be highly regarded

Mining Engineer
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, this position will play a key role in the operation's
production targets, mining plan, drill design patterns, cost and schedule planning, amongst other duties.
Requirements:
Degree qualification in Mining Engineering
At least 3 years experience in an open-pit metal mining
Drill and blast experience in hard rock mining will be highly regarded
Some experience with mine planning software desirable

Mining Superintendent
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Mining Manager, this position will lead, direct and manage mining activities in the field
to ensure that all functions are undertaken in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner in line with
agreed operational standards and targets.

Degree qualification in Mining Engineering will be advantageous
Minimum 10 years experience in a leadership position for an open-pit metal mining
Skilled in managing a diverse grouping of mining personnel

Senior Earthworks/Mining Supervisor
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, this position will see you involved in the initial development of
the mine. You will monitor compliance across the site and manage a team of operators to ensure that all
production and safety targets are met.

Minimum 7 years experience in a leadership position for an open-pit metals mining
Strong ability to build excellent working relationships with your team

Earthworks/Mining Supervisor
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Earthworks/Mining Supervisor, this position will manage a team of operators to
ensure that all production and safety targets are met.

Civil Engineer
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Civil Engineer this position will be responsible for all onsite civil engineering
matters including project planning and monitoring progress.

Senior Surveyor
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, this position will manage a team of Surveyors to provide
timely and accurate surveying services to the Mining Operation.

At least 7 years experience in mine surveying experience across metals mining operations
Experience of working on new mining operations will be advantageous

Draftsman
Responsibilities:

information system and reporting needs.

Previous experience with document control and QA/QC procedures will be advantageous
Senior Mine Geologist
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, this position will manage a team of Mine Geologists and
responsible for the coordination and delivery of all geology services at the Mining Operation.
Requirements:
Degree qualification in Geology
At least 7 years experience in mine geology for an open-pit metals mining operations

responsible for heap leach gold recovery operations, refining and assay lab operations and projects.

Degree qualification in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering is a plus
Minimum 10 years experience in gold heap leach, assay lab and ADR Plant operations
Greenfield project experience is highly desirable
Detailed working knowledge of plant and heap leach design and planning, quality control, reclamation,

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the GM Support & Services, this position will lead HR Department and oversee the delivery
of human resources advice and support within the project. You will play a key role in the development
and implementation of human resources initiatives in-line with the business strategy to promote an
effective and harmonious work environment.
Requirements:
Degree qualification in Human Resources Management or related fields
Minimum 10 years experience in managing HR Department in mining industry is highly preferable

Senior Purchasing Officer
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this position will be responsible for the coordination and
planning of the purchasing and management of warehouse facilities. You will work with both operations
and maintenance to assure production and quality goals are achieved without interruption for lack of
materials or services.
Requirements:
Degree qualification in related fields
Minimum 7 years experience in purchasing activities for a mining company is highly preferable
Greenfield project experience is a plus
Strong knowledge and exposure in Pronto or other similar systems
Senior Contracts Supervisor
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the incumbent will supply functional leadership of in-term
strategic and critical contracts, effective management of our clients supply partners to ensure
commercial supply agreements are optimised and adhered to.
Requirements:
Degree qualification in related fields
Minimum 7 years experience in contract management, supply chain and procurement
Prior working experience in mining industry is highly preferable

Construction Superintendent
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Construction Manager, this position will be responsible for all aspects of construction
from early planning stages through direction of field erection and commissioning activities, with hand-off
to the site operations team for beneficial operation.
Requirements:
Degree qualification Civil Engineering or related fields
Minimum 10 years experience in direct engagement of mine construction and mine construction
management
Strong knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering, construction and contracting coupled
with exposure in the management of capital project with a value exceeding $300 million
Construction Superintendent
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Construction Superintendent, this position will be responsible to liaise with Design
Team, Project Engineers and Construction Team to develop, maintain and report on multi discipline
project schedules.
Requirements:

Minimum 7 years experience in scheduling of Capital Projects within a mining environment
Excellent project management skills with strong knowledge of engineering processors and related
