For Jack, William and Alistair With Love
Jack wants a pet, Oh! What shall we do?
Dad, can you catch me a Kangaroo?
1
A kangaroo is wild and free
It might not be happy tied to a tree
3
Then lets catch a Possum, they are cuddly and funny
We could keep it here and feed it fruit and honey
They dance on the tin roof and live in the trees
Its not a good idea Jack, I think they have fleas
5
How about a bird could we catch a Parrot;
We could feed it nuts or maybe a carrot
7
Perhaps we could have a Wombat they are warm and cuddly
He could have a cosy basket and we would call him Dudley
