Start-Up: Six simple tasks to complete every night. They are:
1. Open Diary
2. Study Folder open and on desk
3. All books and equipment ready

5. Scan previous nights work
6. Print and complete Daily Routine
Daily Job: Specific task for every day of the week
Sunday: Organize the week ahead
Monday: Paperwork
Tuesday: Computer clean up
Wednesday: Equipment check up
Thursday: Get it Done Now
Friday: Friday Fun Day
Saturday: Weekly Clean
Homework: Remember to this before assignment and exam revision

When completing an assignment you should go through 4 phases. I am
certainly not someone who believes the first draft is the only draft.
Four Phases
Planning Phase
Understand / Read Criteria Sheet
Organize yourself (See Day 16 for more detail)
Set out plan of attack (See tomorrow for more detail)
This should be completed on the first night.
Research Phase
Take notes for assignment
Write bibliography as you go
This should take 40% of your time
Writing Phase
Create plan organize your headings or topic sentences
Write the assignment
This should take 40% of your time
Checking Phase
Proofreading
Editing
Check again against Criteria sheet
This should take 20% of your time

Notes and information stored in Study Folder: Take these out, put in a
folder and file in a box or filing cabinet.
Computer Files: Create a new folder called Completed Assignments
and move your assignment folder into there
Memory Stick: Make sure all the information is on the computer, and
delete the files from memory stick
Internet Favorites: Create a new folder called Completed Assignments
and move the websites into this new folder
Emails: I would delete these. Please check home and school account, as
well as sent and deleted items.

Note-taking
Note-taking involves collating your school work and homework and
summarizing any text book material.
Remembering
This involves reciting, revising and remembering your notes.
Cramming
This is what you do the night before. It can be effective as final revision if you
have completed the first two tasks.
