ASTALAC M120 is an ultra high impact strength grade of ABS and is designed for pipe extrusion applications
requiring the highest toughness and abuse resistance whilst maintaining a balance of product rigidity, creep
resistance and processability. Typical fluid transfer applications are in the mining, irrigation, drainage and water
supply piping fields.
Note: The letters UV or W indicate UV stabilisation has been added [ ie: Astalac M120-UV ].

Comment(s):
1 Cleanliness of the dryer, machine hopper and machine screw/barrel/die head assembly are
essential for processing Astalac ABS and producing contamination free profile, rodstock and
sheeting.
2 Astalac ABS is not compatible during processing with other polymers - this also includes
Astaloy ABS/PC.
3 It is suggested that the pre-drying, die head, roller and material temperatures are manually
confirmed using a hand held temperature measuring device.
4 Excessive heat can discolour light colours of Astalac ABS.
