ince for some of us its holiday season, we thought
it would be timely to take a look at some of the
inspirational hotels that are currently giving guests
bathroom envy. Featuring plenty of impressive
designs from around the world, there are lots of luxury touches
on show that could be adopted for residential schemes in order
to create the ultimate home sanctuary.
This month, we also review some of the high-end high-tech
making an impact in the kitchen in our round-up of cutting
edge appliances.
We also talk to French designer Christophe Pillet about his
Memoria bathroom collection for VitrA and why he sees a
simpler, more flexible future for the bathroom.

Finally, we assess global priorities in the kitchen sector, asking
a few of the major European brands about how they view their
prospects both in the UK and on an international level.

INDESIT
BUYOUT
Home appliance manufacturer
Whirlpool has agreed a 600m deal to
acquire a 60 per cent stake in smaller
Italian rival Indesit.
Family-controlled Indesit has
reportedly been in the process of
searching for potential buyers in order
to reduce its dependency on the
Italian market and to enable it to better
compete against cheaper products
from Eastern Europe and China.
As well as its domestic market and
the UK, Indesit also has significant
operations in Poland, Russia
and Turkey and employs 16,000
workers. The companys main brands
are Indesit, Hotpoint and Scholtes.
Jeff Fettig, Whirlpool CEO, said of the
acquisition: This will ideally position
us for sustainable growth in the highly
competitive and increasingly global
home appliance market in Europe.
The deal is expected to be concluded
by the end of 2014.

Mark David has been appointed
agents for Ballerina Kitchens
covering an area stretching from
north of the Thames up the East
Coast of the UK. Churchman
meanwhile will continue to look
after business for the brand in
the UK south of the Thames,
Mark Evans, Managing Director
of Mark David, said: Ballerina
is keen to expand its business
in the UK and Churchman
approached us to see if we
could work with them and
Ballerina covering a large
section of the UK.
Ballerinas offering includes a

drawer box system from
Grass with a variable width,
24 colour carcases as standard,
1,800 RAL lacquer colours,
four base unit heights and a
choice of 450 doors across
seven ranges.
One of the Ballerina features
that stood out for me was
its ability to produce digitally
printed laminate to provide
a similar service as book
matching veneers, said
Evans. This means that on
an island unit for example, the
design on the doors, drawers
and side panels can follow all
around the island. There was
a striking example of this in
the Ballerina showroom at its
headquarters in Rodinghausen
and it will be one of the first of
the new displays Ill be putting
in my showroom.
Mark David expects to
finalise its plans for Ballerinas
presence at its showroom
and on its website during
the A30 Keuchenmeile
event in Germany next
month but is welcoming
suggestions and queries from
retailers in the meantime.

the big question
Julie Stevens, Sales Designer,
Hale and Murray, Poole:
It is possible to include a tour of your showroom or
factory on your website. It seems a good idea but I do
have reservations though. If your website is that good,
will it stop people from coming into your showroom and
touching and seeing the quality of the product and seeing
the items you do not have on display? All very well if you
sell over the Internet, but if that is not the case, surely the
idea is to get the customer through the door to show why
you stand out from the rest.
Paul Leach, Interiors and
Property Photographer, Wakefield:
I totally agree Julie. The last thing a website should do is
over-expose the showroom. If they visit with a Google tour,
they might think theyve seen it all.Prospective customers
(as they often tell you) are just looking for ideas, loosely
translated as I dont know what I want. Great photography
inspires, motivates and enthuses, which needs to and
must increase showroom traffic. Poor photography
wont. It just says we dont care enough.
Nehal McGregor, Design Consultant,
Victor Paris Bathrooms, Glasgow:
Creating an engaging and professional looking website
is no longer an optional extra to a business strategy. I
really struggle to identify with businesses that shy away
from spending money on professional photographers,
copywriters and web designers to showcase their
business online. You would not leave your showroom
window cluttered and unwashed for ages, so why would
you leave your web window cluttered, unclean (not
updated) and shabby?
If I wanted to add 10 pages of high quality images, texts
and products to my website, it can cost me up to 5,000 or
less. This pales into insignificance if I start comparing it to
the cost of adding 10 premium bays to my showroom.
Although the market is competitive, I believe the Internet
has made it possible for smaller businesses to compete
with big suppliers who have thousands of square meters
of showroom space. A responsible, savvy and well
researched mix of mid-sized showroom space, an honest
social media profile and a beautifully designed website is
an ideal tool to stay ahead of the competition.

Bathroom Magazine group at www.linkedin.com

A number of new materials and styles

A kitchen showroom is a bit like a

to interpret the latest trends, we are
not a slave to them. Its our distinctive

SALICE.
TITANIUM.
WARMTH AND TECHNOLOGY: TITANIUM FINISH.
The new titanium fnish perfectly integrates the hinge into the design of the cabinet conveying a sensation of warmth and
at the same time incorporating modern functionality. The colour, new and different compared with the traditional blued or
nickel-plated fnishes, is less invasive and has a muted sheen. The titanium refections make this hinge ideal in
combination with darker interiors and with the numerous shades of wood available. The good refection properties and the
technological aspect of the hinge allow a perfect integration with the place where it is to be inserted, also suitable in the
lightest interiors. The corrosion strength is considerably increased compared to the classic nickel-plated fnish.

designer | hotel bathrooms
www.designerkbmag.co.uk
For prospective guests looking for a hotel, it
used to be very much all about the bedroom.
Photos on hotel booking sites used to focus
just on this aspect of the stay together with
perhaps a neatly posed picture of the check-in
desk but now, certainly for the top-end, the
bathroom has taken on a new emphasis.
Darren Paxford, National Sales Manager
at VitrA, says: In recent years, the expectations
from consumers on hotel bathrooms have
risen dramatically. Designers are faced with
the task of meeting these expectations, whilst
also considering the practicalities of a hotel
space and meeting a budget. Guests are
now looking for their bathroom to provide
them with a luxury experience, whether
its the treat of a luxury duo walk-in monsoon
shower, or an indulgently large bath.
He adds that the general look and style of the
whole space has to feel modern and decadent
with beautiful taps, striking mirrors and wow
factor vanity units and basins. Its easy to see
how much infuence this has on bookings, he
adds. You just have to look at hotel websites.
Now many hotels will provide pictures and name
the brands of the key features found within their
bathroom as it can help luxury and boutique
hotels set themselves apart from chains, and
attract discerning customers.
When it comes to the design approach, there
are certainly parallels between the hotel and
residential sectors. Georgina Spencer, Marketing
Manager at Roca, points out: The hotel
bathroom has a lot in common with its domestic
counterpart, not just in terms of creating a spa-
like, relaxing sanctuary, but also in creating an
individual fnish with a sense of character that
sets them apart from the competition.
Just as bathrooms sell houses, frst
impressions of a hotel are very often won or lost
in the bathroom, so its important that designers
get the look and feel of this space spot on.
Consumers seem to be attaching a greater
importance to the role of the bathroom in the
home, not just for its functionality but also its
holistic benefts for unwinding and retreating
from the stresses of modern day life.
Lynn Dale, National Sales Manager at Keramag
Design, says: Bathrooms are being designed
to balance the practical needs of hopping in the
power shower before work with being a serene
space to have a leisurely soak in a statement
bath. Ultimately, everyone wants to integrate the
luxury experience that they get from a hotel stay
into their own home, with the ability to treat
themselves every day.
As well as the style points, there are of course
practical issues that apply specifcally to hotel
bathrooms too. David Osborne, Managing
Director at Roman, says: Cleaning regulations in
hotels mean that bath screens must be cleaned
from the outside without stepping into the bath
and hotels have furniture alongside the bath
therefore the bath screen needs to lock at 90
degrees to avoid bathroom fxtures and fttings.
It is for both practicality and aesthetic reasons
that surface materials are a vital part of the hotel
bathroom specifcation. Traditionally, for the
luxury end of the market this has meant luxury
stone and textured surfaces. However, there are
now real alternatives according to Stuart White,
Managing Director at Bushboard. Laminate wall
panels have never been a stronger contender as
a design choice than they are now because high
defnition printing and surface texture innovation
means that they can authentically mirror
the look of real stone and marble, while also
offering a signifcant cost beneft, no ongoing
maintenance and are easier and lightweight to
install. The panels can also be ftted in a true
wetroom environment if desired, and without
any distracting extrusions, which overcomes
for many designers what has historically been a
major drawback of laminate in bathrooms.
As the boundaries between high-end hotel and
domestic bathroom design continue to blur,
consumers will increasingly be looking to replicate
the very best in holiday luxury in their own homes,
raising the bar for designers everywhere.

The latest incarnation of Artusi, Antonio Citterios
trailblazing industrial-style kitchen, has been adapted to
embrace a similarly professional range of appliances
designer | kitchens
Go
For the aspiring chef, there is nothing
more appealing than a professional
grade kitchen in which to work. Today,
the industrial look is nothing new, but
when designer Antonio Citterio came
up with the Italia kitchen in 1988, it was
perhaps the first to bring professional
concepts into the home.
Nine years on, Citterio took that
initial idea and developed it further to
create Artusi, a professional kitchen
manufactured by Arclinea which
addressed the practical and hard-
wearing principles of a restaurant
kitchen but refined into multipurpose
autonomous work blocks in steel.
At the heart of the design were high
construction standards, understated
shapes and volumes, and ergonomics.
Over the years, Artusi has been
modernised and updated in various
ways. Conceived as a freestanding
design, it evolved as a modular version
to become Outdoor in 2012 for (as the
name suggests), cooking outside.
Its latest guise is as Artusi Gourmet,
a kitchen system that integrates
professional grade appliances from
Electrolux Grand Cuisine. The
furniture units have been remodelled
to accommodate the key features of the
appliances and to ensure a seamless
integration between the kitchen and its
technology.
Artusi Gourmet went on display for
the first time at Arclineas flagship
showroom in Milan recently. Some
of the key highlights include a
stove island, the frame of which can
be made to measure and can be
specified with finishes from the

Arclinea catalogue. In addition to steel,
the worktop can also be selected in
other materials and finishes.
Other re-worked elements include
a specially designed hood and a tall
unit specifically made to house the
Electrolux Grand Cuisine appliances.
The range is the latest in a long and
productive collaboration between the
manufacturer and prolific designer
Citterio. My years working with
Arclinea have been dedicated to
experimentation with the concept of
the kitchen, starting with fine-tuning
of a programme which could function
perfectly from an industrial design
point of view and then, over the years,
gradually studying the various types of
kitchens, he explains.
From a space for socialising
to the professional island, from the
compact single unit to the functional
microcosm, each different interpretation
offers a living solution that blends
perfectly with its surroundings,
the ideal expression of changes
in todays homes.

As Christophe Pillets new bathroom collection for VitrA gets its UK launch, the
French designer explains why he sees his role as an illustrator for others inventions

Christophe Pillet
Born in 1959, Christophe Pillet has been living and working in Paris since
1988. He graduated from Nices Arts Dcoratifs College in 1985 and became
Master of Domus Academy in Milan in 1986 during which time he
worked alongside members of the prominent Memphis group.
From the late 1980s, he worked with world renowned designer Philippe
Starck in Paris before establishing his own design practice in 1993.
He engages in many felds, including product and furniture design, interior
decoration, architecture, scenography and artistic direction. He has created furniture
and products for Cappellini, Daum, JC Decaux, Driade, Ecart International, LOral,
Lacoste, Moroso, Renault, Serralunga, Shiseido, Shu Uemura and Whirlpool.

I initially became a designer very
randomly, admits Paris-based designer
Christophe Pillet. Growing up, I was
like most kids and wanted to be a
musician. I went to art school and spent
the time that I was there trying to work
out what I really wanted to be.
I found myself faking being a designer
and started drawing all sorts of things
such as chairs and other products. After a
few years, people started believing I was a
designer and so I had to do it for real!
This journey of personal discovery for
Pillet was happening at a particularly
vibrant time for the world of design
as it coincided with the emergence
of the Memphis group in the early
1980s which included such luminaries
as Ettore Sottsass, Matteo Thun and
Javier Mariscal to name a few. It was
characterised by the bright colours,
asymmetrical shapes and kitsch
references of the numerous items of
furniture and other objects produced
between 1981 and 1988.
Pillet had been awarded his diploma
from Domus Academy in Milan before
joining the Memphis group as assistant
to Martine Bedin and Michele De
Lucchi. He returned to Paris to work
with Philippe Starck before establishing
his own design agency in 1993.
It is a distinguished past that even
now seems to fill him with a sense of
bemusement about how it all came to
be. It was not a planned career. I feel
like a tourist or a stranger in this realm
of design and I mean that very sincerely.
I am motivated by doing different
things, and if youre a tourist, you are
interested in discovering new things
and exploring thats exactly what I am
doing with design, wandering around
looking for things that are different.
It is an approach that has led to design
partnerships that are many and varied.
Clients have included Cappellini,
Lacoste, LOral and Whirlpool. He
explains that many of the products
he has designed have come about as
a result of a true collaboration rather
than a simple design to commission
process. In many cases, they dont ask
me for a specific piece of furniture or
product. We just agree that we want to
do something together. I then do, not
exactly just what I want, but what I
think would be good for them.
When VitrA approached Pillet to
collaborate with them, he welcomed
the opportunity to work in an area in
i
Above: 40cm circular basin from VitrAs Memoria collection
Pillet 168.indd 35 16/07/2014 14:46
designer | interview
which he believes there is scope to do
new things. The bathroom is a very
challenging area of the home, not
necessarily because of the individual
products themselves, but because of the
difficulty in changing things. For instance,
if you want to change things in your living
room, you can move or change your sofa
or bring in other furniture. If you want to
change your bathroom you need to get in
a designer or an architect and an installer,
so it is much more complicated.
My thought then was to try to design
products that will address this and
that is something I have been thinking
about since.
Central to these ideas for the future
is Pillets desire for the bathroom to
break away from some of its existing
constraints he talks of an idea for a
plug and play system for the bathroom
to give the homeowner the opportunity
to reconfigure the space easily without
it having to cost the price of a small car.
For now though, the first fruits of Pillets
collaboration with VitrA is the Memoria
collection, an all-encompassing range
including basins, brassware and
furniture, created to help fill what he
believed to be a gap in the extensive
VitrA product catalogue: There were
so many great products there, but I felt
that it was missing some of the basics
the t-shirt and jeans if you like.
Im also an interior architect and for
me, I dont always look to use designer
products. Its often a case of trying to
find good, low profile and more subtle
products, so I suggested we go down
this route. I wouldnt even go as far as
describing it as minimalistic because
this in itself suggests some kind of lofty
artistic intention. Rather, it is simple,
silent and filling in some important gaps.
He sees this very much as a starting
point to what will be a long-term
partnership: We are squaring the circle
with this collection to create a very
important set of products, but there are
lots of other ideas for the future which
are still at the prototype stage.
Pillet beieves that the bathroom product
category could see the ongoing impact of
new technology more than most: With
some traditional type of furniture sofas
for example there is only so much
difference that technology can make. The
form and function always remains broadly
the same. It is different for ceramic in the
bathroom however. Here you can do lots
more work in making it thinner, different
shapes and colours, transference of heat,
sustainability, so technology gives us a
real capacity to potentially change the
products that we have today.
And yet, this change could be
arrested by a cultural inertia or
resistance to change that can often be a
big factor in maintaining the status quo.
We have a mental tradition both in
terms of the manufacturer, dealers and
the customer which is a limitation to
this capacity to change.
The bathroom is the only place
where the product has remained white
as it was when it was first manufactured
200 years ago or so. The psychological
idea of white being hygienic is not
really so relevant, but the fact is
that if a manufacturer makes other
colours, it does not sell.

It was like this for kitchen appliances
years ago of course, but now you can buy
blue, yellow or patterned refrigerators to
suit the whole kitchen design.
Pillet feels that the cultural inertia in
the bathroom and his belief that this
is related to the established built-in
nature of the space is an example of
the questioning process that is at the
heart of the design process. He says
it is about asking the question of how
should we change things, why should
we change them, and what benefits
would it bring. For me, these are
the only questions for a designer to
consider. All the rest is just blah blah.
A lot of the time, I think about these
things quite selfishly in terms of how I
would like things to be in the future, and
by that I am talking about months into
the future not decades. It is important
to consider how we can improve the
environment around us and make things
better. This is the role of design, finding
these good reasons and not to change
things for the sake of changing them.
Anything is possible, but thats not always
a good enough reason for doing it.
For a profession not always known for
its modesty, Pillet has an interesting
and matter-of-fact take on his role
as a designer. Were not inventing
anything, he says. It is engineers who
invent things and we are just wrapping
their ideas. The work of a designer is
more about materialising or illustrating
what life is about today or tomorrow.
He adds that even if he tried to
imagine and design a house for the
year 3000, it would be nothing but
science fiction because there would be
so much that still needs to be invented
by engineers. It is useful for our
imaginations perhaps, but otherwise
it serves no purpose. I am interested
in changing things for the better
today. Im less interested in the
time after I am dead and gone.
So of his substantial design work
so far, what is Pillets own favourite?
The reality for any designer is that
youre not ever satisfied with what
you have achieved, so I would always
have to say my favourite is the next
one Im working on because it is all
about developing new things.
If I had to pick something from
my past work though I would say
the Agatha Dreams chaise longue
that I designed for Ceccotti. It still
looks good to me and I think has
escaped time it could have been
designed 20 years before or 20
years after. It doesnt belong to
a particular trend of style.
As for future designs, Pillet has
no wish list of product types that
he would like to direct his skills
towards. What I like is meeting new
people, going to new places and
working on new projects. Whether
it is a car, a hotel, a chair, the nature
of the product is not too important to
me. I just like working on ambitious
projects with ambitious people. d

STRENGTHENING
GROWTH
Heinz Hachmeister,
Managing Director, Pronorm
How important is the UK
kitchen market to your
brand right now and do
you perceive it to be a
growth market?
The UK market is an extremely
important one for Pronorm,
it being one of our top three
export markets. We continue
to move forward in this market
and have achieved double
digit growth in all of the last
three years, with this years
fgures showing an increase
so far of 15%.
The market shows every sign
of recovery and we expect
a strong performance in
the next two or three years
through our strong and
committed dealer network of
around 100 showrooms.
Our product line strategy,
developed over the last fve
years, is in perfect sync with
the UK market allowing our
dealers to sell kitchens in a
wide range of market sectors.
Y-line, our handleless kitchen,
in particular has been hugely
successful in the UK which
confrms to our product
development team that we are
very much on trend.
Which other global markets
are key areas for your
business at present, and
which regions do you
anticipate will be the hot
spots of the future?
Beside our domestic market
and the UK market, markets
like the Netherlands, Belgium,
Luxembourg and Switzerland
are key areas for us at present.
From our point of view, markets
such as Taiwan, China and
Russia are growing markets
of the present and future. We
are also gaining experience in
these countries at the moment.
Individually planned kitchens
with modern design Made in
Germany are also very popular
in these markets.

A WORLDWIDE VISION
Sara Wells, Regional Sales
& Business Development
Manager, Doca UK
How important is the UK
kitchen market to your
brand right now and do
you perceive it to be a
growth market?
The UK is undoubtedly very
important to the kitchen
market, as well as our own
brand as I feel the design
sector is led by global
infuences not just individuals.
Not only London, but all major
cities within the UK contribute
to the world stage of design
and I very much believe we
have become instrumental to
this growing market.
Which other global markets
are key areas for your
business at present, and
which regions do you
anticipate will be the hot
spots of the future?
Doca UK is located in
the UK and serves only
the UK market, however for
Doca Spain we can say it
has seen important brand
development over the last few
years with it moving into the
Netherlands, northern Europe
and Russia. That, along with
projects in New York and
other areas of the USA has
not only boosted the brand
but also allowed it to complete
on a global level.
When you actually look at
the buying pool as a whole,
the world is quite small,
especially when compared
to social mobility which is
ever increasing. As such, all
markets relative to our brand
are considered to ensure that
development, brand growth
and continued cutting edge
manufacture remains for both
Doca UK and abroad.

INVESTING IN SKILLS
Cyril Raberin, UK Franchise
Director, Mobalpa
How important is the UK
kitchen market to your
brand right now and do
you perceive it to be a
growth market?
The UK is the third biggest
European market and around
14% of the UK kitchen market
is imported. Only 40% of
the kitchen market is sold
by kitchen specialists and
60% is through the multiples
and bigger companies.
There is a huge opportunity
for professional kitchen
retailers like Mobalpa to offer
consumers more services
and warranties in the UK
which, according to fgures
provided by the KBSA, is
what consumers are asking
for more and more. This is
something the multiples are
unable to offer through their
distribution channels.
Mobalpa has been selling
kitchens in the UK since 1981
and it remains a huge area
of growth for us. Our UK
franchisees are able to offer
consumers the services they
are asking for with the support
of a thorough business model
and back offce system.
We support our franchisees
with training and testing
programmes, a dedicated
business development
manager, a UK coach,
marketing and PR support as
well as business management
support, design bureau and a
dedicated ordering processor
for the UK market.
The UK market is growing
but a long term strategy
for Mobalpa cannot rely on
market growth alone. It has
to be based on improving our
market share by continuing
to develop and enhance our
franchisees and their retail
skills. When you talk to an
experienced existing kitchen
retailer there is nothing they
dont know about product
but there is always room on
improving retail knowledge
and organisational processes.
Which other global markets
are key areas for your
business at present, and
which regions do you
anticipate will be the hot
spots of the future?
We dont target markets
based on their growth, but
as a developing franchise
network it means we have
to invest a lot to support
our partners and lead them
to success.
We have selected a few
markets where we have
implemented the UK
strategy a pilot store to
prove the concept effciency,
along with the full Mobalpa
support package. We
have implemented this in
Scandinavia, Flanders
and all the French-speaking
export countries. For all other
countries we have a dedicated
export department which
supports the contract side
of our business.

ESSENTIAL
PRESENCE
Bernard Otulakowski,
Managing Director,
SieMatic UK
How important is the UK
kitchen market to your
brand right now and
do you perceive it to
be a growth market?
As a German manufacturer,
the UK has always been
a very important market
as Britain has a history in
recognising high quality
designs and setting trends.
The rest of the world looks to
the UK for design inspiration
and so as a global luxury
brand, its essential to have a
presence in the UK. As such,
we have recently invested in
a central London showroom
in the kitchen alley that is
Wigmore Street and we have
also just opened two new
displays in Harrods.
Which other global markets
are key areas for your
business at present, and
which regions do you
anticipate will be the hot
spots of the future?
There are a few cities around
the world that are hailed as
design meccas and so we
have been expanding and
updating our showrooms
in these types of locations
including New York,
Amsterdam and Stuttgart,
and of course, London.
SieMatic |

SieMatic has expanded
its portfolio of fnishes
to include more veneer
options to assist with the
designing of open plan
living and kitchen spaces.
The new selection includes
veneers available in 13
fnishes including a stone
beech option as well as
four walnut, six oak and
two pine fnishes

German kitchen brand Alno has launched its new steel
kitchen range into the UK. The AlnoInox steel kitchen
has a sleek and elegant design, for a contemporary
kitchen that refects the industrial trend.
Low maintenance and scuff-proof, the powder coating
provides robustness and colour fastness, whilst the
non-porous steel surfaces repel grease, making them
particularly easy to clean. A cardboard honeycomb
between the 0.8mm steel sheets has been designed
to provide maximum stability and strength, allowing
the fronts and shelf boards to retain their shape
despite being relatively light. Alno adds that the
panels cannot be warped by moisture or temperature
changes as the material features high heat resistance
and is 100% humidity resistant.
The new range was launched by at Alnos
Wigmore Street showroom in Central London,
where the Gold AlnoInox kitchen is on display.
The launch party included various steel-themed
celebrations including a steel drum workshop.
AlnoInox is the frst product by Swiss kitchen
manufacturer AFG Kchen to be offered under the
Alno brand since Alno acquired the company at the
start of 2014. The full Alno collection offers a huge
choice of contemporary materials, colours and
fnishes, with AlnoInox the newest offering.
The powder-coated surfaces are available in 22
standard colour options plus all Natural Colour
System (NCS) colours, allowing a combination of
warm and cool shades. Pictured is AlnoInox Gold.

I love good design and
am constantly inspired by
beautiful new buildings
and objects. There are
so many architects and
designers who I admire so
much. However, the person
who I have picked for this
column is one of the most
extraordinary in the design
world Sir Terence Conran.
When he pioneered the
first Habitat store in 1964,
it brought great European
contemporary design to
England at prices that were
affordable to the masses.
Previously, great design had
been the preserve of the
rich and Habitat in its early
days was revolutionary,
bringing colour, simplicity
and great design at prices
most could afford.
Not only though did Sir
Terence become one of the
great retailers, he was also
a developer, transforming
Butlers Wharf on the South
Bank of the Thames, and a
restauranteur bringing great
Italian and European food
to England with restaurants
like Bibendum. Hes still
a fantastic retailer with
shops like the Conran Shop
and of course his ongoing
architectural practice.
A true renaissance man,
thank you Sir Terence
for making the lives of
so many people in this
country a bit richer.d
