The Lighthouse Parent: A For-
ever Journey is a three-week
parentng program to help
parents understand how to
hold and be the light for their
family.
Whether we realize it or not,
we have learned how to
parent from our parents and
grand-parents or extended
family. And since the tech-
niques of yesterday are not
necessarily the most enlight-
ened for todays child, you can
fnd yourself dealing with un-
antcipated and unnecessary
confict with your children.

Driving: We are located in a red brick heritage build-
ing approximately one block west of Douglas St.

Bus: Take any bus on Douglas St. that goes to Hillside
Ave. or # 11 on Gorge Road travelling towards
Hillside.

In a confdental, small group format parents will
learn about:
theories of atachment and atunement,
biological and neurological child developmen-
tal stages,
historical parentng traps and how to get un-
hooked from them,
realistc stress management strategies that
work In the Now,
the paths to fnding and sharing tmes of joy in
parentng,
peer support and facilitator guidance, and
much, much more
If your child was born with a how-to manual,
you may safely disregard this program. However,
if you are searching for a way to understand your
childs mental, emotonal, social and spiritual de-
velopment in order to understand how you can
have the most loving and joyful parent/child rela-
tonship, the Lighthouse Parent Program is what
youve been looking for.
Through close examinaton of your family of
origin parentng infuences, you can begin the
process of fnding your very own parentng prac-
tces that will work for you and your children.
