WhatistheSecondaryOne(S1)PostingExercise?
The annual S1 Posting Exercise is conducted by the Ministry of
Education (MOE) to post Primary Six (P6) students from our
mainstream schools who have passed their Primary School Leaving
Examinations (PSLE) to a secondary school based on their PSLE
resultsandtheirschoolchoices.
WhocanparticipateintheS1PostingExercise?
All P6 students from our mainstream schools who pass the PSLE
except those who have been successfully allocated a secondary
schoolplaceviatheDirectSchoolAdmissionsSecondary(DSASec)
Exercise
Successful DSA students who are eligible to opt for Third Language
and/orCourseOptioncandosousingtheS1InternetSystem(S1IS).
WhenistheS1PostingExerciseconducted?
S1 PostingExerciseistypicallyconductedin3phases,startingfrom
the3rd/4thweekofNovemberafterthereleaseofthePSLEresults
and ending with the release of the posting results in the 3rd/4th
week of December. Please refer to the following table for the
details.
S1 Option Phase This phase is for parents to submit their

childs S1 options and/or secondary school choices after the
releaseofthePSLEresults..
SchoolPostingPhaseThisphaseisforthepostingofstudents
to secondary schools taking into consideration their PSLE
results,choicesofschoolsandavailablevacancies.
Posting Results Release This phase is for the release of the
school posting results. Students are to report to their posted
secondary schools on the nextworking day after the release of
thepostingresults
HowtoapplyfortheS1PostingExercise?
P6 students from our mainstream schools who pass the PSLE will
receive a personalised S1 Option Form together with the PSLE
results. Parents can use the Personal Identification Number (PIN)
provided in the S1 Option Form to submit their childs S1 options
and/or secondary school choices online via the S1 Internet System
(S1IS)duringtheS1OptionPhase.
For parents who do not wish to opt online, they may submit their
secondaryschoolchoicesatthechildsprimaryschoolduringtheS1
OptionPhase.

Uni Grow; Uni Glow (You and I, Grow and Glow)
Over the years, Woodlands Secondary School (WDL) has seen
its Uniform Groups (UG), consisting of National Police Cadet
Corps (NPCC), National Cadet Corps (NCC) Land, St John
Ambulance Brigade (SJAB), Boys Brigade (BB) and Girl Guides
(GG), grow from strength to strength. The school has achieved
the Sustained Achievement Award for UG since 2002, and in
2013, the school successfully applied for UG to be
our niche as we prepare to take UG to a higher level.
In 2014, the school has repositioned the niche as the schools
Learning for Life Programme. UG and non-UG students will
undergo the following:
1. Signature UG modules
2. Experiential Learning Programmes
3. UG Leaders Training Programmes

Our Performing Arts Groups consist of the Indian Dance, Chinese Dance, Malay Dance, Guitar
Ensemble and Concert Band. Our students perseverance and dedication were evident from
their consistent outstanding achievements in the Singapore Youth Festival Arts perfomances.
Besides participating in school performances such as the Annual Speech Day and Festive
Concerts, our students also showcased their talents in public performances such as the Music-
in-The-City performance at Ngee Ann City and performances to raise funds for the needy.
