1 CLI Command Line Interface

The user can use several different network interfaces to do network management, such as
those listed below:
SNMP Management
CLI Management
This manual introduce CLI configuration function of EPON OLT(OLT3000).
In the initial setup step of OLT(OLT3000), there are two ways based on CLI management to
login system:
Terminal Emulation of CONSOLE port (RJ-45)
Telnet of management port (RJ-45)

1.1 Login OLT by Terminal Emulation

When access OLT system by terminal emulation, RS232 COM port of PC need be connected
with CONSOLE port of OLT. Please connect PC to OLT system according to the following
steps:
1. Use RJ-45/DB9 RS-232 cable. Connect DB-9 connector to the vacant RS232 COM port of
PC, and connect RJ-45 connector to CONSOLE port of OLT. As shown in the picture below:

2. Start terminal emulation program. In this example, use Windows Hyper Terminal.
3. Select [File/Properties] from Hyper Terminal main menu, New Connection Properties will
pop up, as shown below:
