1. Did you Know, The famous Italian plumber Mario and the tied ape Donkey Kong was simply created because Nintendo
wanted to make a Popeye game, and failed.

2. The Virtual Boy, well known for its red and black colors, almost always gave people seizures or extreme headaches. Over
200 games were going to produced for the virtual boy, but only 12 games were made because of its poor sales, canceling
the console 2 months after its release.

3. Samus Arans Morph Ball, (Maru-Mari in Japan) was introduced in 1986, but Gunpei Yokoi and Yoshio Sakamoto revealed
in an interview that technology wasnt advanced enough to make Samus Aran crawl in 1986, but now the Morph Ball is
now just a distant memory.

4. The Mario series first game, Mario Bros, was just supposed to be a spinoff to the Donkey Kong series, and was never
supposed to be an actual series.

5. The Zelda Series caused a lot of controversy over the years. In the Legend of Zelda, the 3
rd
dungeons layout was that of a
Swastika, and ever since Nintendo Filed the issue, no Zelda game has ever featured anything close to the original 3
rd

dungeon.

6. There are 3 three popular rumors circulating the Zelda games, the first one is that the 1
st
dungeon, The Great Deku Tree,
and the one in Wind Waker, are just the same tree. The second rumor is that Navi, the annoying blue fairy, was the same
fairy that Link was looking for in Majoras Mask. The last rumor is that Link and Zelda are cousins.

7. The console, Playstation, was created because of a failed Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) CD disk add-on.
Nintendo wanted to make a CD add-on, so they partnered up with Sony, but they rejected, so only 1 member worked in
private, Ken Kutaragi but when Sony found out, they almost fired him, but the president of the company at the time,
Norio Ohga let him keep the job. Then At the June 1991 Consumer Electronics Show, Sony announced its SNES-
compatible cartridge/CD console, the "Play Station". The next day, Nintendo revealed its partnership with Philips via a
surprise announcement at the show, resulting in the infamous Phillip CDI.
