Malaysia Hill in Casual Wear Contestants are judged on beauty, poise, personality and stage presence in the in the casual wear and formal wear competitions. The interview competition is scored on a contestants ability to articulate based on their age and maturity level. The interview portion is a five minute panel discussion with the judges. Contestants will be judged based on their intelligence, sincerity, honesty and good diction. 2009 Pageant Winners ** This does not include how specialty awards will be judged.** Scoring is based on a scale of 1- 10. Due to subjectivity in scoring, the competition will also have a ballot component. This is where a judge would list the contestants name and number that did the best overall in each age division. In the event there is a tie this method will be used as an alternative to the cumulative score. Criteria for Scoring Optional Categories Optionals are a fun part of pageant competition that allow a contestant to compete in a variety of categories including Western Wear, 1950s Wear and Derby Wear just to name a few. For 2010, Crowned Prince & Princess Charm has added 1980s Wear and Patriotic Wear to its competition. The optional competition does not in any way impact a contestants overall division score in the pageant. It is just a way to get more stage experience and practice all the while having a great time and showing the judges a little more personality. Optionals are $15.00 each or you may enter 5 for $50 and each additional one after 5 for a fee of $10.00 each. You may enter as many as you like.
Katelin Denney in Derby Wear Overall Supreme Title: Three Overall Supreme Titles will be awarded to the three contestants with the highest overall cumulative score of the weekends competition. Prizes for the Overall Supreme Title include: CASH! Huge Crowns! Big Trophies! You must register for this optional in order to be considered. New! 1980s Wear: Step back in time to Michael Jackson, Cynde Lauper and Madonna when lace reigned supreme and jelly shoes were cool. This is a fun competition for parent and kids alike after all Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! New! Patriotic Wear: It is important to support our troops. In an effort to do so, we encourage our contestants to show their true patriotic spirit bring out the red, white and blue . Photogenic: At least a 57 picture in color or black and white. Scoring for photogenic will be based on age appropriateness, personality and overall photogenic qualities. Each additional picture entered is $10.00 each. Western Wear: Put on your cowboy hat, boots, skirt and dungarees and get kicking for the Western Wear competition. Contestants are judged on beauty, poise, appearance and stage presence.

High Fashion and a hat are a must. 1950s Wear: Lets go back to the 1950s, a much simpler time of dunagarees, poodle skirts, leather jackets and scarves.
