Paige Holland, a young
Moorestown resident, was just 17
when she passed away two years
ago due to complications of
epilepsy. To honor their dear
friend, Kacie and Alexandra Lieb-

Paiges Green Dream to raise
awareness of epilepsy and try to
continue Paiges wish to find a
cure for the condition.
Because November is Epilepsy

Paiges Green Dream began
when Kacie was preparing for her
bat mitzvah and had to fulfill a
mitzvah project. She could think
of nothing more worthwhile than
remembering her friend Paige
and continue Paiges dream to
find a cure for epilepsy. Kacie and
her sister Alexandra worked to-
gether to create the organization
in honor of their friend. Paige

Writer: Learn about school
board candidates before voting
Elections are coming up, if you have not
noticed the signs. There are many races,
and they are all important. The most im-
portant to me, and that should be to all par-
ents of school children, is for the school
district board. Unfortunately, there is no
other election that is voted on as blindly as
this one. I am guilty of it in the past. I
voted for either the three top names on the
ballot or I voted for the name I saw around
town the most. This could not be more
wrong in how you decide to vote.
In Moorestown, our schools are con-
trolled from the top-down. It is an all-vol-
unteer panel of people who are doing a
thankless job. They are all coming to it
with different experiences and thoughts
for how our schools should be run. It is
they who decide what programs are kept or
cut. The importance of these individuals
cannot be overstated.
It is vital that we elect people that truly
care about the direction of our schools and
not just those who care about reducing
costs. We need to elect people who are fis-
cally responsible and who want to expand
our schools academic excellence.
I know of at least one candidate who
truly is concerned about the direction of
our schools. Caryn Shaw is the one candi-
date who has been working tirelessly for
our schools as a parent volunteer. With her
experience in marketing, she has been the
lone worker bee on the revenue generating
committee trying to come up with different
ways to generate money and resources for
our schools. Without any connection to the
school, except for her desire for it to be the
best it can be, she has already raised close
to $20,000 through various initiatives and
programs. She wants to find creative long-
term solutions for the financial crisis our
schools face every year without resorting
to the cutting of any programs.
She does not want the status quo, or
worse, less than. She believes that it is
through a cooperative effort from all that
we can move our schools to the next level. I
know I will be voting for Caryn. I encour-
age you to learn more about her and the
other candidates in order to make an in-
formed decision based on your values.
Please dont vote blindly.

ELECTION LETTERS
Letters to the editor regarding the
Nov. 4 election will not be printed in the
Oct. 29 edition. The Oct. 22 edition will
be the last edition before elections to
print these letters.
G
hosts, goblins, ghouls and a lot
of superheroes, princesses,
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
and characters from Frozen will be
parading up and down streets in town
in one short week. Halloween is an ex-
citing time for kids, parents and neigh-
bors alike.
Its a time for fun, a time for laugh-
ter, a time for adorable pictures, a time
for candy, a time for celebration and a
time when we all need to pay attention
to safety.
First and foremost, motorists need
to be extra cautious when driving
through the streets that day, not just in
your own neighborhood, but sur-
rounding ones, as well. Make sure to
be aware of trick-or-treating hours,
and be especially careful when dark-
ness settles in. Be especially alert in
residential neighborhoods, as kids
tend to run excitedly from house to
house.
Parents should be on high alert that
day as well, reminding their kids to
look both ways before crossing the
street and cross only at intersections
and crosswalks, when possible.
If kids are trick-or-treating without
adult supervision, make sure they
know the route so they dont get lost
and confused. Other safety tips, cour-
tesy of the website, www.safekids.org:
Decorate costumes and bags with
reflective tape or stickers and, if possi-
ble, choose light colors.
Choose face paint and makeup
whenever possible instead of masks,
which can obstruct a childs vision.
Have kids carry glow sticks or
flashlights to help them see and be
seen by drivers.
When selecting a costume, make
sure it is the right size to prevent trips
and falls.
If you need more tips or tricks of
the trade for trick-or-treating, visit
www.safekids.org. The local police de-
partment will have safety recommen-
dations, and the municipality will also
have more information about specific
rules and regulations for the day.
Be safe this Halloween. And most
importantly, have a scary good time!

On Friday, Oct. 10, Margaux
Vellucci performed
Tchaikovskys Nocturne in D
minor at the Day of the Girl
Summit at the United Nations in
New York City.
Velluccis story of female em-
powerment through music was
selected by the International Day
of the Girl
committee to
be showcased
at the 2nd An-

Speak Out
event from 3
p.m. to 5 p.m.
Other per-
formances at
the United Na-
tions included
poetry, songs
and stories depicting girls re-
silience when faced with gender
discrimination and difficult cir-
cumstances.
Vellucci is a member of the
Alice Paul Institute Girls Adviso-
ry Council, which convenes at
Alice Pauls home in Mount Lau-
rel. After receiving an email from
the council this summer asking
for submissions, she submitted a
video of herself playing Noc-
turne and received a message
from the IDG Summit in August
notifying her that she had been
selected.
Anyone can read the notes and
play them, but I feel, as a girl, that
I can bring a special emotion to it
that can really touch the audience
during my performance. I try to
think of things happening in my
life that I can bring to my piece to
connect with it. Someone in my
life passed away, so I think about
that while Im playing, Vellucci
said.
The Day of the Girl Summit
brings girls and girl-serving or-
ganizations together to celebrate
the International Day of the Girl
Child, recognized each year on
Oct. 11 by the United Nations. In
honor of the Day of the Girl, ac-
tivist groups come together in
service of the same goal to high-
light, discuss and take action to
advance rights and opportunities
for girls everywhere. The goal is
to address the unique challenges
girls face around the world. For
its second observance, this years
day focused on Innovating for
Girls Education.

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR
As required by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Moorestown has im-
plemented a stormwater management plan. Accordingly, we must notify all residents and busi-
nesses about ways that each of us can improve the quality of stormwater runoff.
Stormwater is the primary conduit for pollutants to seep into groundwater and ultimately into the
deeper aquifers, which supply our drinking water. Did you know that pet waste left on the ground
and the fertilizers applied to lawns contain chemicals and other pollutants, which can leach
through lawns into the groundwater underneath? Waste can also be left behind by waterfowl and
wild mammals who may be attracted by ill-advised feeding stations.
This waste can be carried by stormwater into drains and culverts eventually ending up in our
streams, rivers and lakes. Even leaves, lawn clippings and other yard waste that is not properly
disposed of can wind up washed or blown into streets and then carried into nearby drains. This
further degrades our waterways. By making small changes in the way waste is handled and
treated, each of us can have a profound impact on the quality of our groundwater and waterways
As required by state regulation, Moorestown has enacted ordinances to regulate activities that
are harmful to the quality of our waterways and groundwater. For example, we have ordinances
that regulate pet waste, litter, improper disposal of waste, wildlife feeding, yard waste and illicit
water connections all of which are intended to ultimately reduce pollutants that are carried by
stormwater. I invite you to view these ordinances in our "Township Code Book" link at
www.moorestown.nj.us.
Please join me and Township Council in working to keep our waterways and groundwater clean
and free from pollution. Let`s work together to protect our critical resources so we can give the gift
of a cleaner environment to our children. If you have any questions or would like more informa-
tion, please contact a member of our dedicated Environmental Advisory Committee via the Town-
ship offices.
Sincerely,
Christopher J. Chiacchio, Mayor

encouraging its future leaders.
Each year the National American
Miss Pageants award $1.5 million
in cash, scholarships and prizes
to recognize and assist in the de-

tionwide. National American
Miss had added the ultimate door
prize to Nationals 2014. Each girl
who qualifies for the national
pageant has a chance to win a
new 2014 Ford Mustang Convert-
ible. National American Miss is
dedicated to developing the suc-

national with a program that is
designed to be age-appropriate
and family oriented. Pageants are
held in each state for girls ages 4
to 18 in five different age divi-
sions.
The National American Miss
pageants are for "Today's Girl"
and "Tomorrow's Leaders." The
pageant program is based on
inner beauty, as well as poise and
presentation, and offers an "All-
American spirit of fun for family
and friends." Emphasis is placed
on the importance of gaining self-
confidence, learning new skills,
learning good attitudes about
competition, and setting and
achieving personal goals. The
pageant seeks to recognize the ac-
complishments of each girl while
encouraging her to set goals for
the future. Find out more about

ater education. When Greg Harr
and Erica Scanlon Harr took over
the plays and musicals, they want-
ed the theater to feel more like a
program rather than just activi-
ties. So thinking long term, they
decided to do a piece of Shake-
speare at least once every four
years. This year is Shakespeares
Much Ado About Nothing.
Much Ado About Nothing
was chosen as the high schools
fall play because Greg and Erica
wanted to do a Shakespearean
piece that was comical, familiar
yet not over done, and didnt have
to be set in the Elizabethan time
period.
Much Ado stuck out as light-
hearted, fun and one of the easier
ones to follow because there is a
lot of physical comedy, Erica
said.
Much Ado About Nothing is
one of Shakespeare's fun come-
dies that puts two pairs of lovers
in a witty and suspenseful battle
of the sexes. A company of men
returns from battle and stops at
Messina to visit the governor.
While there, Claudio, a young offi-
cer in the company played by
sophomore Sam Scheibe, falls in
love with the governors daughter
Hero, played by junior Olivia
West. Meanwhile Benedick, an-
other officer and best friend of
Claudios, played by freshman
Rahul Wadhwa, is constantly ver-
bally sparing with Beatrice, the
governors niece, played by junior
Nicole Tsarouhas, despite being
attracted to each other.
Hero and Claudio, wanting
their friends to find love, hatch a
plot to unite them. However, a vi-
cious plot is in the mix to break
Claudio and Hero apart. Hilari-
ous misunderstandings, hasty
overreactions, near-fatal compli-
cations, and eventual redemption
and love of the characters wield
all the tools of a romantic come-
dy, making a story that is, indeed,
much ado about nothing.
Its been really great, a lot of
fun to work on, Erica said.
BRIGIT BAUMA/The Sun
Don Pedro, played by senior Rahul Wadhwa (left), Leonato, played by
senior Steve Gross, and Claudio, played by sophomore Sam Scheibe,
speak of Beatrices love for Benedick as Benedick, played freshman
by Rohan Wadhwa, himself listens in from behind a chair. The three
men, along with other characters in the play, conspire to make Beat-
rice and Benedick think they love one another in hopes they actually
do in Shakespeares Much Ado About Nothing performed at
Moorestown High School on Oct. 23, 24 and 25.
Play hits the stage Oct. 23-25

loved the color green, the band
Green Day and along with her
dream of finding a cure, the name
Paiges Green Dream was created.
Were keeping her memory
and dream alive by finding a cure
for epilepsy, therefore she is al-
ways with us, Kacie said.
Alexandra described Paige as a
lovable person who always knew
how to brighten your day. She
never let her epilepsy episodes
ruin her day, and she always
walked around the school build-
ing with her head held high and a
smile on her face.
She was always a fighter. She
was always trying to find a cure
and always saying when she grew
up she wanted to work with kids
with her condition, Kacie said.
Last year was the first Paiges
Green Dream 5K Walk and more
than 400 people supported the or-
ganization through walking, vol-
unteering, sponsoring and donat-
ing. The proceeds of approxi-
mately $25,000 supported re-
search efforts of the Epilepsy
Foundation of America, the
Paige Holland Memorial Scholar-
ship and Camp Frog, a specialty
camp of children afflicted with
epilepsy. The Liebmans were
overwhelmed by the support last
year and would like just as much,
if not more this year.
I am hoping that we have a lot
more people than last year and I
am hoping a lot more people gain
awareness of what epilepsy is. At
the end of the day, I am hoping for
a strong show of support by the
community, Kacie said. Just
seeing everyone there coming to
support the walk and coming to-
gether as a community is very in-
spirational for me and Im really
glad that I get to see and experi-
ence all of the people together.
Represented at the walk will be
the Epilepsy Foundation of New
Jersey and other health profes-
sionals who will provide informa-
tion prior to walk kick off. After
that the walk begins.
EMIL LIEBMAN/The Sun
Alexandra (left) and Kacie Liebman, founders of Paiges Green Dream,
created the 5K walk to help achieve Paige Hollands dream to find a
cure for epilepsy, which she passed away from due to complications.
Walk raised about $25K last year

26 THE MOORESTOWN SUN OCT. 2228, 2014
Sunday, October 26
th
11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The students started off the
first half of the rehearsal process
working with the Shakespearean
language, since that is one of the
most difficult parts. They trans-
lated the text, scanned the poetry
and analyzed the characters and
themes. Students also were asked
to speak to family members from
the 1940s to learn not only about
the era, but also about their fami-
ly and their familys connection
to the time period.
Since the students dont have
acting classes, we want the pro-
gram to act as an educational ex-
perience as well as a performance
experience, Erica said. We real-
ly want them to appreciate the
time period and appreciate the
language and Shakespeare.
Then once lines were under-
stood and memorized, which stu-
dents claimed was one of the
hardest parts, they set to learn
the blocking on a bare minimum
stage, dancing of the 1940s, and
finding the emotion within their
characters.
It has been fun to explore the
different kinds of emotions that
Beatrice has, Tsarouhas said.
Its a really fun experience; I
love the theater program here,
Scheibe said.
Erica commended her talented
group of actors and promises the
night will be full of laughter and
nostalgia. Because Much Ado
About Nothing is a challenging
piece of literature and such a
classic, she said to expect to be
impressed with the students.
People should come to the
show because it is cool to see
Shakespeare in a different time. A
lot of people find Shakespeare
boring or hard, but after this ex-
perience I feel people will find it
to be an exciting show because we
do a good job of trying to explain
what is going on, West said.
Performances will take place
in the Moorestown High School
auditorium, located at 350 Bridge-
boro Road, on Thursday, Oct. 23,
Friday, Oct. 24, and Saturday, Oct.
25. All performances are at 7:30
p.m. All tickets are $10 and can be
purchased at www.moorestownhs
theater.weebly.com, at the school
lobby and at the door the nights of
the shows.

Were counting on you!
I love the actual part of the
walk, when I get to walk around
town. I can see the color green
from miles away from the apparel
the walkers are wearing. Every
step I take makes me realize the
process we had to do for the walk.
It seems at first there are so many
steps, but when you reach the
end, you realize that you have
made a difference, Alexandra
said.
There is no fee to sign up for
the walk, but online registration
is encouraged at paigesgreen-
dream.org. Donations are not nec-
essary, though any small amount
is appreciated. The only thing
that the girls ask are that people
come out to the event to learn
more about epilepsy, support
those with the condition and
wear green in honor of Paige.
It is more important for peo-
ple to walk than to donate money.
When they are actually at the
walk they can become aware of
epilepsy from the speakers and
support those individuals living
with epilepsy, Kacie said.
To learn more about Paiges
Green Dream and the walk visit
paigesgreendream.org. Dona-
tions can be made on the website
as well as at the actual event.
Alexandra and Kacie appreciate
any support that the community
is able to give for the cause.

34 THE MOORESTOWN SUN OCT. 2228, 2014
Make your final pitch. Why should you
be elected to town council?
People should vote for me because I
believe in those things the residents of
Moorestown value: transparency and
openness in government, honesty and
fairness, and careful planning for im-
portant decisions affecting
each and every citizen.
I am not a politician. Citi-
zenry is a journey, not a desti-
nation. It cant be purchased
with political contributions
it is earned by putting the in-
terests of the town first.
The incumbents on council
handled pay to play incor-
rectly. The council tried to im-
pose on the town an ordinance
to increase nearly tenfold pay
to pay limits for businesses.
The citizens had to file a petition signed
by more than 1,300 people, informing
council they were not acting in the best
interest of the town. Citizens voices
were heard, only they had to take action
to place the issue on the November bal-
lot. Moorestown was made a laughing
stock by articles in the Inquirer saying
that council acted in spite of the protests
of citizens.
If elected, I will have no one to answer
to except the citizens of
Moorestown.
Anyone who knows me
knows I am passionate about
Moorestown. I want the town
to be the best it can be.
Moorestown is my home, and
its not being run properly. I
can use my skills as an attor-
ney and financial person to
bring transparency to govern-
ment, involve citizens in gov-
ernment, create processes for
the town, and make
Moorestown a better place to live and do
business.
Vote on Nov. 4 for Edmond George for
Moorestown Town Council.
EDMOND GEORGE
Make your final pitch. Why should you be
elected to town council?
When I ran for Moorestown town coun-
cil, I did so because I believed I could
work hard to make this incredible town
even better. Four years later, I truly be-
lieve that the results speak for them-
selves.
The No. 1 issue that people
cared about when I ran for office
in 2010 was tax relief and that
is something I have made my top
priority. This year, we have de-
livered a budget that kept our
tax rate at a zero increase
meaning that municipal taxes
did not go up for 2014. Council
moved to privatize trash collec-
tion, saving our taxpayers $1.5
million over the next three
years. And recently, the Republi-
cans on town council voted to reserve the
$6 million surplus that has been built to
provide tax relief for our residents.
After years of residents hearing prom-
ises from candidates, we delivered on
completing the Library and Town Hall
Complex, again giving Moorestown a
town center that we can be truly proud of.
Town Council is now exploring options to
update and improve our municipal park-
ing facilities and I want to be clear in
saying that if I am reelected, I will fight
any attempt to increase the price of park-
ing on our existing meters and will op-
pose any move to charge for parking in
our lots that are currently free.
In terms of recreation, Moorestown
continues to be a leader in our region.
Our athletic fields have been updated and
rebuilt, all in a fiscally responsible way
that did not drain our Open Space Trust
Fund. The Church Street Recreation Cen-
ter has received a full facelift, and is now
a safe and modern facility for families to
enjoy. Our programming for children
with developmental disabilities has ex-
panded, and our town has taken great
steps to become more inclusive and ac-
cepting in our recreation programs. And
it was just announced that my work,
along with Freeholder Director Bruce
Garganio, to secure $250,000 in grant dol-
lars from the county to update the hockey
rink at Wesley Bishop has been approved.
We have kept our word on open space
preservation as well. Council worked
closely with our county free-
holders to preserve a gem in our
community, the Browning/Hess
Farm, which has boosted our
preserved open space in town to
810 acres. We have awarded a
contract to repair the dams at
Strawbridge Lake with the sup-
port of the Open Space Adviso-
ry Committee, and are currently
working with the Environmen-
tal Advisory Committee to im-
prove the health and wellbeing
of Strawbridge Lake going for-
ward. In addition to this, we have initiat-
ed the process to preserve Flying Feather
Farm and have partnered with the
Tree Planting and Preservation Commit-
tee to plant new trees around the town-
ship.
Lastly, Moorestowns business climate
is on the upswing, and we are seeing posi-
tive signs that all of our towns retail dis-
tricts are open for business. Moorestown
Mall has welcomed a number of new
high-end eateries and retail stores, and in
just a few short years has transformed
from struggling on life support to a vi-
brant shopping and dining destination.
Main Street has welcomed a number of
new shops and restaurants, and we have
seen new businesses open their doors
while existing businesses have invested
in improvements in the Lenola Town
Center.
If entrusted by the people of
Moorestown with a second term, I plan
on building on this progress in moving
our community forward. Manny Delgado
and I believe that Moorestown deserves a
government as good as its people, and we
will strive every single day to deliver real
results for the people who elect us.
STACEY JORDAN
MEET THE
CANDIDATES
Every week, The Sun will ask candidates in the
Nov. 4 election for council seats to respond to
questions pertinent to local issues.
You can find all the responses online at
www.moorestownsun.com.
This weeks question: Make your final pitch. Why
should you be elected to town council?
Dont forget to vote on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

for Moorestown polling locations.
OCT. 2228, 2014 THE MOORESTOWN SUN 35
Make your final pitch. Why should you
be elected to town council?
Elections are about choices, and this
year, Moorestown voters have the oppor-
tunity to choose the vision that has been
clearly laid out by the
Jordan/Delgado team. It is a vi-
sion that would lead to lower
taxes, a more efficient munici-
pal government, and a brighter
future for Moorestown. Its one
that will move Moorestown in a
positive direction, and one that
will see our town council work-
ing together in a bipartisan
fashion instead of creating un-
productive friction. And most
importantly, its a vision that
will put Moorestown first.
If elected, I will work hard to find
ways to lessen the tax burden on our resi-
dents by streamlining processes, seeking
grant dollars to offset costs and cutting
unnecessary spending. I will explore the
possibility of shared services to save tax-
payer dollars, and I plan on working with
our township manager and CFO to make
sure every dollar being spent in our town
is being spent wisely, efficiently and is re-
sulting in the best possible services to
our community.
I pledge to be a friend to open space
and sustainability during my term in of-
fice. I will work with the Open Space Ad-
visory Committee to set long-term
preservation priorities, ensuring that we
are maintaining our current preserved
open spaces while exploring the possibil-
ity of additional land acquisitions. And I
will work with my colleagues to examine
options for new green initiatives that can
both benefit taxpayers and protect the
environment.
I will make sure that our township as-
sets are being protected by ensuring our
town continues to update or replace any
aging infrastructure, maintaining our
new Library and Town Hall, and making
sure that our athletic facilities are receiv-
ing the care they deserve over time to
avoid costly repairs down the road.
A town council that includes Jordan
and Delgado is a town council that will
always operate under the belief that gov-
ernment works for the people and not the
other way around. I will work to deliver
open, accessible government that taxpay-
ers can be proud of. I pledge to work with
our township employees to
broadcast town meetings so res-
idents who cannot attend in
person can watch them live or
access a recorded version on-
line. In addition, I will work
with my colleagues to continue
holding open office hours out-
side of council meetings, and
will seek to launch a new, inter-
active municipal website that
can help make local govern-
ment more accessible, respon-
sive and transparent for resi-
dents.
Finally, our team has a five-point eco-
nomic growth platform that will elimi-
nate red tape and make it easier for a
business to open and thrive in
Moorestown; address municipal parking
to improve access to businesses along
Main Street; ensure that Moorestown
Mall and East Gate Square remain a pre-
mier shopping and dining destination;
work with the recently-formed Lenola
Advisory Commission to cultivate a
stronger business climate in the Lenola
Town Center; and explore additional
public-private partnerships between
Moorestown and our local business com-
munity. We will also utilize technology to
make the permitting process more effi-
cient so residents and contractors can re-
ceive required inspections and approvals
in a timely manner.
I am not a politician. I am a husband, a
father and a citizen who is looking to
make a difference. I will not beholden to
special interests, and I will not serve nar-
row ideologies. I will work closely with
Republicans, Democrats and Independ-
ents alike to deliver results instead of
rhetoric, to fight for tax relief and to
build a better tomorrow. I thank the good
people of our town for their considera-
tion. Stacey Jordan and I would be hum-
bled and honored to earn your vote on
Nov. 4.
MANNY DELGADO
Make your final pitch. Why should you
be elected to town council?
The reason why I should be elected to
Moorestown Council is that I will place
the citizens of Moorestown first, not a
political party. Decisions will
be made according to the best
interests of Moorestown resi-
dents, and not to advance a po-
litical agenda.
I have lived in Moorestown
for over 19 years with my hus-
band, Mark Hines, and my two
children: Alex, a sophomore at
Boston University, and Katie, a
freshman at Moorestown High
School. During this time I have
been involved with environ-
mental issues and have been an
advocate for Open Space, Strawbridge
Lake and environmental education such
as the STEM sponsored Open Space Fes-
tival. I currently serve on the Environ-
mental Advisory Committee to Town
Council. My volunteer work for
Moorestown has usually been behind
the scenes, without fanfare, and frankly
that's how I would have liked it to re-
main. I don't consider myself a politi-
cian and this is the first time I have ever
run for public office, but something hap-
pened last summer, August 2013, that
shook me to the core of my being. It
started with Town Council forcibly im-
plementing a new law allowing the
amount a citizen or business can donate
to candidates or political committees to
increase by almost 10 times. This does-
nt benefit anyone except those wishing
to win favor and lucrative contracts with
the township. Citizens were outraged
and voiced their opposition to a town
council that did not hear them. A group
of citizens were so upset, they enacted a
petition getting 1,400 signatures door to
door to force a referendum on the topic.
The completed petition was
taken to town hall and coinci-
dentally that same day, town
council issued a statement say-
ing it decided to rescind the
new law. When questioned
why they pulled the law, it said
its decision had nothing to do
with the citizens petition.
This action disturbed me in
two ways. First, I was shocked
by council's disregard for the
voice of the citizens. Second,
this was an example of "big
city politics" finding its way into
Moorestown. As I said, this shook me to
my core. It was then I knew I had to
enact change. This is not how govern-
ment is supposed to operate. We should
have a transparent government that has
the trust of the people. Decisions should
be based not on what is best for a politi-
cal party, but what is best for
Moorestown citizens. I believe that there
is no place for politics at the local level,
and if elected, I would advocate for the
citizens to decide if a non-partisan mu-
nicipal government is right for
Moorestown. Political machines such as
this have never run Moorestown before,
and it is time for us to return to the civil
discourse and good government that
once made Moorestown the best place to
live in America. Please vote for me,
Elizabeth Endres, for Moorestown town
council.

Autumn in
Moorestown
Photos by Brigit Bauma/The Sun
Despite the rainy weather in the morning, the Autumn in
Moorestown Festival, sponsored by the Moorestown Business Asso-
ciation, had a good turnout on Oct. 11. Clockwise from above right:
Dylynn Rossi, 3, has a conversation with Dalmatian T-Bone and pup-
peteer Patrick Ahearn. Conrad Thorsland, 7, picks up some straw to
help stuff a scarecrow outside of the Moorestown Community House.
Matthew Greczek, 3, gets his face painted. Michelle Usle brings home
a scarecrow made with the help of her children Julia, 4, and Dennis,
2. Mark Potosky and his son Bryce, 4, prepare to stuff their scare-
crow. Karina Rotter, 5, Joshua Rotter, 3, and Colin LaGrou, 3, all
decked out in costumes and face paint, strike a heroic pose. The
Eaise family Mark, Ava, and Kelly stuff a scarecrow.
