This page tests the stability of your connection over a period of time. We recommend that you stay connected thru the duration of the test. The clock will count down and display "Successfully Finished!" after 2 hours. If the connection is lost during this period, please check your enterprise proxy settings, to allow https streaming. DO NOT MINIMIZE THIS WINDOW ! SAP 2008 / Page 10 public Test i ng t he Remot e Connec t i on usi ng t he I nt er net This will establish a Citrix connection to the SAP WTS farm. This page will test the stability of your connection over a period of time. We recommend that you perform this test from two PC's that are in the training room where the class is to take place and stay connected through the duration of the test. The clock will count down and display "Successfully Finished!" after 2 hours. In addition, all of the classroom PC's should be tested using this method although staying connected for the two hour duration on these PC's is not necessary, a successful display of the clock is sufficient. Note: This is not a bandwidth test and should not be used as such to determine adequate bandwidth, latency or response time for your class. You can use the bandwidth and latency test for checking the quality of your network connection to SAP network (See picture below) SAP 2008 / Page 11 public Test i ng t he Remot e Connec t i on usi ng t he I nt er net We believe that in most environments establishing a connection should be straightforward. However, there have be some instances where the ports required by the Citrix client have been blocked by firewalls. This can normally been fixed very quickly by your IT organization opening access to port 443. SAP cannot be held responsible for connection failures during training due to WAN failure, traffic on your local Network, the Internet or due to changes made to your network infrastructure. We would therefore recommend that your IT organization be kept informed of all training taking place at your location.
