Abstract

Lexicon in Lavatory Ritual Mulud Aki Leutik in Banceuys Indigenous


Hometown, Sanca of Village, Ciater sub-district, Subang regency.

The Research was motivated by the lack of local knowledge of Indigenous
Village societys Banceuy to lavatory ritual Mulud of Aki Leutik. This
research was aimed to describe 1) forms the lingual; 2) classification and
description; 3) value of local wisdom that is contained in the lexicon of
food, equipment, and within Mulud lavaory ritual activities of Aki Leutik.
Methods used in this study are a qualitative method with ethnography of
communication models using observation and interview. Instrument used
in this research are observation guidelines, unstructured interview guides,
and data cards. Results of this study are follows. First, in the lavatory ritual
mulud Aki Leutik in Indigenous Villages Banceuy, Sanca of Village,
District of Ciater, Subang was found 66 lexicon of food, equipment, also
activities. Based on the analysis of its lingual shape classification, the 66

lexicon was divided based on lingual unit, which formed 44 (67%) of words
and 22 (34%) of phrases. At lexicon of food, equipment, also in the
Lavatory Ritual Mulud activities of Aki Leutik was found four form word,
which 34 (52%) word base, 3 (4.6%) compound word, 3 (4.6%) affixes
word, and 4 (6%) repeated word. Second, a description of lexicon that are
used in Lavatory Rituals Mulud of Aki Leutik divided into three categories,
ie the lexicon of food, equipment, and activities. Lexicon food totaled 33
(50%) lexicon which consists of two categories, which the lexicon of food
ingredients and food lexicon. Lexicon of foodstuffs consists of 3 lexicons,
whereas lexicon of food totaled 30 lexicons. Lexicon equipment amounted
to 28 (42%) lexicon which consists two categories, among others
equipment and amenities lexicon. The equipment of lexicon totaled 7,
while supplies of lexicon totaled 21 lexicon. Meanwhile, lexicon activities
totaled 5 (7.5%) lexicons. Third, value of local wisdom contained is divided
in two dimensions, which vertical (man's relationship with God and man's
relationship with his ancestors) and horizontal (man's relationship with
nature and man's relationship with man).
