Feds Cracking Down on Big Banks

N.Y. Fed. President William Dudley and Fed. Gov. Daniel Tarullo held a private meeting with the heads of
several big banks demanding a reform to avoid ethical transgressions or face dire consequences.

disclose its third quarter earnings which rose 7 percent to 487 million euro, hitting market expectation.


PSI-20 rise more than 2.5% driven again by the gains of the banking sector
PSI-20 closed the session increasing 2.62%, benefiting from strong gains recorded by banking sector, led
by BCP which rose 9.6%, following the trend of banking sector in Europe.

CMVM prohibited short-selling in shares of Portugal Telecom by two days more
After yesterday's session where Portugal Telecom's shares recorded a strong fall, and in today's session
continued their drop, CMVM decided to prohibit short selling to try to preventing future falls.

Asia stocks mostly lower after China GDP; profit-taking hits Nikkei
Asian share markets were mostly lower on Tuesday following a mixed morning session as investors
digested key data from China.

China GDP bests, but growth rates slowest since crisis
China's economy grew at its slowest pace in more than five years in the third quarter, official statistics
showed Tuesday, but the data still topped estimates.
