The first is security to defend itself against both internal and external threats to its individuals and to the entire society, so that the people are free to pursue their goals. The second is the economy to produce goods for consumption, provide services, and improve the overall quality of life. The third is the science applied in the engineering branches. As engineering is the applied form of science. Engineering is the application of scientific, economic, social, and practical knowledge in order to invent, design, build, maintain, and improve structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes. There are many engineering branches like Chemical engineering, Civil engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Biological engineering, Industrial engineering, Mechatronics engineering, Nuclear engineering, Petroleum engineering and more and more Let's talk about the branches one by one: Chemical Engineering: Chemical engineers used applied principles of different scientific disciplines such as chemistry, physics and biology to come up with solutions to technical problems. They can usually be seen working in places like manufacturing plants, laboratories and plants to monitor facilities and operations. Chemical engineers deal with problems ranging from food, paper, drugs, fertilizers, fuel and other complex chemical processes. Civil Engineering: Civil engineers are concerned with the design, development and maintenance of construction projects such as those involving bridges, buildings, dams, roads and other large structures.
Electrical Engineering: Electrical engineering (EE) involves the study and application of electricity and electronics and it deals with generating and transporting electricity using the proper scientific ways. Mechanical Engineering: Mechanical engineering applies physical principles and materials science to the design, manufacture and analysis of mechanical systems like factories and power plants. Mechatronics: Mechatronics combines mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, frequently in the analysis of automated systems. Robotics, avionics and instrumentation engineering Nuclear Engineering: Nuclear engineering is the practical application of nuclear processes, such as those used to produce and harness nuclear power to generate electricity or be used as nuclear batteries in space ships. Petroleum Engineering: Petroleum engineers apply scientific principles to detect, drill and extract crude oil and natural gas. Biological Engineering: Biological engineering is applied biology and medicine. It includes biomedical engineering, biochemical engineering, protein engineering, genetic engineering and tissue engineering. Biomedical Engineering: Biomedical engineering applies engineering principles to medical and biological problems and systems. This branch commonly deals with medical therapies, monitoring devices and diagnostic tools. Automotive Engineering: automotive engineering is the field of engineering which deals with the study as how to design, manufacture and operate automobiles like buses, trucks, cars etc. and also their respective engineering subsystems. Production Engineering: Production engineering is a combination of manufacturing technology with management science in order to create a specific tool for the industrial processes
Architecture: Architectural engineering is the application of engineering principles and technology to to design structures and it is very different from civil engineering Marine Engineer: These engineers design the mechanical systems found in large marine vessels such as ships, submarines, and tankers. They use their background on mechanical and electrical engineering to come up with these mechanical systems Aerospace Engineer: Aerospace engineers deal with the designing of airborne crafts that are launched on to the atmosphere and even outer space. They are involved in the construction and design of aircraft, missiles, spacecraft and satellites. Written By : Islam Mohammed Ahmed Mohammed Hashem Group : 2 Section : 19
