Leaders Guide

Week of October 26, 2014

Dear Leaders, Please use the sermon guide in your group. You might
want to make some extra copies for some group members. If time
allows, have the group craft 2-3 prayer requests for GFC that they
could use a group and as individuals in the weeks and months to come.

LOOKING BACK
Connectivity: You & Your Church
Saboteurs and Superstars Acts 20:25-38

It is time to focus on the You and Your Church part of this series!
1. Below is a fascinating drawing! The children are having all kinds of different experiences in relationship
to the tree, and each tells a story. We each have a story with our church too. Take some time to
observe the children and decide which one best represents where you are with your church and its
people and its Lord.

2. What is the one primary lesson you will take away from the series, Connectivity: You and Your Church? Try
to be as precise as possible.

3. What next step will you take regarding you and your church?

LOOKING AHEAD
Remember When
Acts 16:6-34; Philippians 1:3; 12-21

Remembering lessons learned in the past can serve you well in the challenge you face today, and what you
learn today will become a lesson to remember in the future.

1. Compare Acts 16:22-34 with Philippians 1:12-21: How was Pauls perspective recorded in Philippians
influenced by his experience 10 years earlier in Acts 16?

2. After reading both passages, what is the significance of Pauls words in Philippians 1:3?

3. What lessons do you think Paul learned from the circumstances recorded in Acts 16:6-10?

4. What lessons do you think Paul learned from the events recorded in Acts 16:11-15?

5. What lessons do you think Paul learned from the events recorded in Acts 16:16-34?

6. What lessons have you learned from these passages that you can apply today?
