To develop graphic skill in students for communication of concepts, ideas and design of
engineering products and expose them to standards related to technical drawing.

At the end of this course, the students will be able to estimate the materials requirements
for various fabrication processes and create simple building layouts.

Importance of graphics in engineering applications - se of drafting instruments - !I" conventions
and specifications - "i#e, layout and folding of drawing sheets - $ettering and dimensioning.

%eometrical constructions& 'ividing a given straight line into any number of equal parts, bisecting a
given angle, drawing a regular polygon given one side, special methods of constructing a pentagon

hyperbola by eccentricity method - (onstruction of cycloid - construction of involutes of squad and
circle - 'rawing of tangents and normal to the above curves.
