VersaTrak Test Software

(1) General Introduction:

The VersaTrak Software application provides the control station with real time display of the fleet
activity on a digital map. The GPS equipped Hand held radio and mobile radios are configured to
provide geographical coordinates to the field user, as well as, to the control station.

(2) GPS Application Diagram:

The system is composed of three parts,
(a) Control Centre/Base Station: The Base radio connected with computer with GPS Data
cable.
(b) Mobile Radio: The Radio( Hand held / Mobile ) with GPS
(c) Repeater: Repeater can be used to enhance the range of Hand held & Mobile.(Refer fig-1)

The VersaTrak test software installed in the Computer, When the GPS radios locks its position. The
Control centre can view/decode the position of GPS radio(s) via the GPS Data Cable.

Note: Use the GPS data cable to connect the Base radio with Computer. So that you can use the
radio for Data & Voice

 Versa Trak Test Setting

(1) Install & Run VersaTrak Test software.

(2) Set the correct COM port; Click on Setting; refer to figure-2
(3) The Text file & KML file of the radio IDs can be saved.

 Software Operation:
Two options are available to check the position of the radios,

(A) Short Format:

(1) To check the position of the radio, set the GPS radio ID Short ID; refer to fig-3.
(2) Press WRITE to know the GPS radio position information,
(3) The Read window will appear with radio ID & Its Longitude, Latitude, Altitude.
(4) For continuous checking of radio, we can select the “Auto Send interval” option in setting & then
select the “Auto Send”.

(B) Normal Format:

(1) To check the position of radio, set correct Radio ID; refer to fig-4.
(2) Press WRITE to know the GPS radio position information,
(3) The Read window will appear with radio ID & No of satellites, Altitude, Time, Date, Longitude,
Latitude, and Speed.
(4) For continuous checking of radio, we can select the “Auto Send interval” option in setting & then
select the “Auto Send”.
