PROFICIENCY TESTING SCHEMES
SCHEMES ielab 2012
The participation in Proficiency Testing Schemes is a tool that testing
laboratories can use for different purposes, such as evaluating staff, test
method characteristics, assigning values to reference materials and, of
course, proving the reliability of the obtained data.
The assurance that a testing laboratory systematically produces reliable
results is determining for the users of these services and therefore, the
accreditation bodies expect a laboratory to take part regularly and satisfactorily
in Proficiency Testing Schemes.
The usage of accredited Proficiency Testing Schemes Providers gives
important advantages to laboratories, being the most relevant that, carrying
out the evaluation by professional experts of proved expertise, contributes
to a markedly increase of the level of confidence in the results.
ielab is accredited by ENAC (National Accreditation Entity) with nr.
2/PPI007 to provide Proficiency Testing Schemes on the basis of the
standard UNE-EN ISO 17043:2010 and the guides ILAC-13:08/2007 and
CGA-ENAC-PPI. Besides, ielabs management system is certified under the
ISO 9001:2008, to ensure the highest quality in all its processes.
The international ielab Proficiency Testing Schemes are a prestigious
instrument to evaluate, compare and improve the quality of the results of
chemical, microbiological or environmental laboratories that in 2011 had over
1,200 participants worldwide.
For 2012 we offer you a wide PT Schemes programme. For further details,
please don't hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards.

ANLYSIS "IN SITU"
We offer Proficiency Testing Schemes in different cities of Spain.
Each participant must provide all the necessary equipment to carry out the test. Our company will not provide or lend
any equipment or accessory.
To ensure the authenticity of the consensus value of the PT, only the measures of one probe or one equipment for
each participant will be admitted. Each participant can use the method that is the most convenient, as there are no
any restrictions on the part of the Organization, assuming maximum 2 persons per participant. To ensure the
confidentiality, each participant will get a participation code that code only he knows.
The technical and statistical analysis is carried out according to the criteria established by the IUPAC and to the
EURACHEM-CITAC 2007 standard. By this way the homogeneity and stability of the sample during the PT is ensured.
Later and for each parameter its consensus value, its standard deviation and its uncertainty are calculated. The
participants are evaluated by the Z-Score criteria, using as "standard deviation for proficiency assessment" the current
regulation values or the modified Horwitz function.
Same as for all Proficiency Testing Shemes, a final report will be issued. This report will be issued 1 month after the
in-situ analysis scheme takes place.
The prices shown on the general price list include the transport from the meeting point in each city to the site of the
test and the lunch. In Madrid lunch will not be provided, since it is planned that all the tasks can be performed during
the morning.
Each participant has the responsibility of its own sampling equipment.
A Proficiency Testing Scheme may be cancelled if meteorology at the corresponding site does not allow its performance,
as well as due to other causes that are out of reach of the Organization (transports strike, breakdown of equipment,
etc.).
