Western Oregon University Summer Volleyball Camps welcome volleyball players entering
grades 7 through 12. Western Oregon volleyball players and coaches will provide detailed and positive instruction in all basic
skills, with an emphasis on active participation. Our camps are for players looking for a well-rounded introduction to the skills
of volleyball, including passing, hitting, setting, serving, and blocking. Emphasis will be on development of individual skills,
with tons of competitive opportunities to test and reward your development! Whether this is your first camp experience or you
are a returning letter-winner, our compact 2 day camp will help you discover the basic and advanced techniques that provide a
foundation for championship teams at all levels.
Camp Highlights
All sessions are on the WOU campus
Camp volleyball given to each camper
Camp t-shirt given to each camper
6 to 1 camper to coach ratio
Campers will participate in the same high-level drills as WOU players
Campers have the option to stay overnight in WOU dormitories
Overnight campers will get three meals a day at the WOU dining hall
Overnight campers will participate in fun camp activities in the evenings
Lunch is provided for commuting campers at the WOU dining hall
Full time trainers are at each session
Camp I
Athletes will be split up into groups by their ability and given instruction in specific fundamentals. They will also learn
how to apply those fundamentals in competition. Training will also emphasize preparation for the move up to higher
competitive levels. If you would like to play college volleyball, this is the camp for you! You will get to live with and play
with the WOU volleyball team members, and experience life on the Western Oregon University campus. Evenings will be
filled with fun activities with the WOU players. You will have a GREAT TIME!

Camp II
Would you like to play college volleyball? This is the camp for you! Athletes will spend two and a half intense days at
camp, training for the upper levels of both high school and club volleyball. Emphasis will be on the preparation for higherlevel competition with specialized position training. Athletes will receive 15 hours of instruction and competition, where they
will apply new volleyball fundamentals and skill. You will get to live with and play with the WOU volleyball team members,
and experience life on the Western Oregon University campus. Evenings will be filled with fun activities with the WOU
players. You will have a GREAT TIME!

Elite Camp
This is your chance to Be Seen! Our Elite Camp is specifically designed to prepare athletes for high school and Collegiate levels of play. With three extra hours in the gym and accelerated intensity on the court, athletes will experience
what it is like to play at the next level. Our six-to-one coach-to-player ratio will provide athletes with personalized instruction and insight into collegiate preparation and competition. Athletes will receive an elite volleyball and camp t-shirt.
You will get to live with and play with the WOU volleyball team members, and experience life on the Western Oregon
University campus. Evenings will be filled with fun activities with the WOU players. You will have a GREAT TIME!

Persons participating in sponsored activities agree to the following that are applicable to the event.
My child and I agree to abide by the following rules:
Follow safety and other instruction provided by the University and activity sponsors.
Share responsibility for my personal safety and not endangering others who are participating in the activity.
My child agrees not to use or possess alcohol or drugs at any time while traveling, lodging, or participating in the event/activity.
I acknowledge by attending the activity my child is encouraged to have a physical examination in advance and obtain
adequate personal health and accident insurance prior to participating in the activity.
In case of emergency, accident or illness, I give my permission for my child to be treated by a professional medical person
and admitted to a hospital if necessary. I agree be responsible for all medical expenses which are incurred on my behalf.
The Oregon Torts Claims Act (ORS 30.260 to 30.300 permits Western Oregon University to accept responsibility only for
the acts of its officers, employees, and/or agents. Western Oregon University is prohibited from accepting any liability
for the acts, omissions and conduct of persons in activities. Indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the State, Western
Oregon University, its officers, agents and employees from all claims, suites, or actions of any nature arising out of my
participation in the above described activity, other then negligent acts of WOU, its officers, employees and/or agents.
I acknowledge that my child is participating at his/her own risk. I understand there is a risk of injury in participating in the
Volleyball Camp, due to the inherent nature of the activity. By signing below, I acknowledge that I understand this assumption
of risk and agree to the conditions listed above.
