[1.0] Explanation of Characteristics
This section is an explanation of a characterDs

characteristic.
The first six characteristics are the pri3ary charE
acteristics. These can be increase) te3porarily by
3agic or per3anently by training (expen)it#re of
experience points)> an) can be )ecrease) te3porarE

the character. These pri3ary characteristics can

Effects of Characteristics
& character )e2elops specific s8ills )#ring the

3any feasible tas8s that a character 3ay +ish to
perfor3 +itho#t ha2ing a specific s8ill to )o so. The
'" then #ses the 3ost appropriate characteristic to
generate a base chance to perfor3 that tas8.
Difficulty Factors (Characteristic Multipliers)

The greater the )iffic#lty factor 2al#e> the easier
a tas8 +ill be to perfor3.
The player 3#ltiplies the )iffic#lty factor by the
appropriate characteristic> arri2ing at the percentE
age chance of the character perfor3ing the tas8.
The 3axi3#3 base chance is (-0 J characteristic J
)iffic#lty factor)K. The player then rolls )100> an) if
the roll is less than or e6#al to the percentage then
the character has s#ccessf#lly perfor3e) the tas8. :f
the roll is greater than the percentage> the characE
