Job Title

Sr. Analyst/Analyst/Associate, Server, Storage & Backup

Overview:
Server, Storage & Backup section provides end to end Operating Environment implementation,
support, consultancy and managed service for Servers, Storage and Backup platforms through
industry standard ITIL v3 guided service operation. Role of System Administrator includes-
Administration, monitor and manage smooth operation with optimum performance and high
availability of server environment (Physical and Virtual). Ensure Storage operation and data
protection. Satisfy business delivery for positive customer experience, meeting KPI & SLA targets,
compliance, quality assurance and effective customer support. Reports to Server, Storage
& Backup Team Lead.

Job Responsibility

System administration and operation for Windows/Linux/UNIX server (both RISC & CISC
based) to ensure high availability of services to the customers.
Monitor performance, H/W and OS fault to ensure immediate support and vendor
escalation.
Ensure performance and high availability for major applications and services to minimize
downtime and continuous support for H/W and Operating System.
Ensure successful Data Protection of all agreed applications as per customer SLA.
Manage smooth operation and optimum performance of SAN storage & Backup System.
Manage Archival and ensure Data Integrity and availability of backup data.
Problem Troubleshooting
Ensure Operational Excellence
Deploy systems with respect to application requirements
Documentation & Reporting as per Service requirements

Education & Experience Requirements
B .SC in Computer Science and Engineering/equivalent degree from reputed university.
Years of experience in relevant field for Sr. Analyst/Analyst/Associate is 4+/3+/2+
with 2 years experience with System Administration on Windows/Linux/UNIX.
Freshers are also encouraged to apply.
Special Skill Requirements
UNIX, Linux & Windows OS Administration skills including HP-UX/AIX/Solaris.
Hypervisor administration skills (VMware/HyperV).
Thorough knowledge of OS administration knowledge.
Proficiency with scripting (Bash/Perl/Python/PowerShell)
Thorough knowledge of Server Virtualization techniques.
Knowledge on Networking and Communication technologies.
Thorough knowledge of Backup and Recovery technologies.
Thorough knowledge of SAN & Storage architecture.
Knowledge of System platforms.
Knowledge of Backup Applications
Knowledge of Backup Infrastructure
Administration of EMC/HP/Hitachi Storage system
Administration of EMC/Symantec Backup Manager
ITIL foundation knowledge
