Please note that your presentation is based on (but by no means restricted to) your essay, i.e., feel free to
extend or modify your original argument. You should consider how you will present your argument
orally and visually, which we will discuss during the workshop.

Workshop (November 6, 2014):
We will have an optional public speaking workshop on Thursday, November 6, 1:00-3:00 p.m. at AS2
03-12 (Lim Tay Boh Seminar Room). Please prepare a 5-minute dry run of your presentation (without
slides).

Nov 13 (Thursday) 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. AS4 01-09
Nov 14 (Friday) 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. AS3 03-03

You will be assigned a slot after you have submitted your topic on Google Doc. We will draw lots to
determine the order. Prepare a 6-8-minute presentation, and be ready to answer questions from the class.
By the same token, be ready to ask your classmates questions about their presentations. Keep in mind
that class participation matters!
