Summary

There are many books that changed the world. These books had great
effects on the human’s life since each one of them found its way to the spot
lights. All the Holy Books (The Torah, The Bible, and The Koran) are on
this list of the most affecting books on the human’s life, and they still have
great impacts on people.(Olmert,1992). There are other books that opposed
some religious ideas, from these books that had such a great influence that
really changed the world like “The Ninety-Five Theses on the Power and
Efficacy of Indulgences” which written in Latin by Martin Luther in 1517”,
that book was widely regarded as the primary catalyst for the Protestant
Reformation. Luther used these theses to display his displeasure with some
of the Roman Catholic clergy's abuses, most notably the sale of indulgences;
this ultimately gave birth to Protestantism. (English Bible, 2008) There are
also “The Analects Confucius” it is a radical text that have been the
dominant influence on Chinese thought and culture ((This, 2007). The Holy
books did already changed the world, and they will stay affecting people’s
life till the end of the world. Beside the religious books in the list of the books
that changed the world, there are many scientific books that made
difference in lot of old scientific theories, “The Kanon in Medicine”
(Olmert,1992). is a 14-volume Arabic medical encyclopedia written by a
Persian scientist and physician by Avicenna (Ibn Sīnā) and completed in
1025. This book brought together the knowledge and theories of Ancient
Greek, Persian, and Indian medicine (largely forgotten otherwise) and
combined it with contemporary 11th century understanding. It laid the
foundations of modern medical science. It is considered the first
pharmacopoeia, and among other things, the book is known for the
introduction of systematic experimentation and quantification into the study
of physiology, the discovery of the contagious nature of infectious diseases,
the introduction of quarantine to limit the spread of contagious diseases, and
the introduction of evidence-based medicine, experimental medicine, clinical
trials, randomized controlled trials, efficacy tests, clinical pharmacology,
neuropsychiatry, physiological psychology, risk factor analysis, and the idea
of a syndrome in the diagnosis of specific diseases. Other scientific books
that had a great influence on the world “The Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia
Mathematica” (Mathematical principles of natural philosophy) by Isaac
Newton is one of the these scientific books that changed the world, the three
-volume work was first published on 5 July 1687. It laid the foundation for
much of modern physics and mathematics. It contains the statement of
Newton’s laws of motion forming the foundation of classical mechanics This
book “On the Origin of Species” by Charles Darwin (1859) is considered a
seminal work in the field of evolutionary biology. It proposes that over time,
through natural selection, species evolve. It was a highly controversial book
as it contradicted many religious views on biology at the time. Darwin’s book
was the culmination of evidence he had accumulated on the voyage of the
Beagle in the 1830s and expanded through continuing investigations and
experiments since his return to England. From the other books that have a
great impact on the economic life in this world, “Communist Manifesto”
which was written by communist theorists Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels
(1848) This work has become one of the most influential political tracts in
history. The Manifesto suggested a course of action for a proletarian
(working class) revolution to overthrow. “The Republic” of Plato, which
was written in approximately 380 BC. It is one of the most influential works
of philosophy and political theory, Plato’s contrast between the imperfect
world of mortals and the perfect corms of immortal souls had a great deal of
influence over Christianity and Islam and Western philosophy in general.
