We should open the closed files, The modernists attacked Sh. Saad Alshathri
because he passed ‘an Advice’ to King Addullah, The king of Saudi Arabia.

Sh. Saad Al-shathri is regarded to be one of the senior scholars of Saudi

Arabia and is a member of the Council of Senior Scholars, who recently
submitted his resignation to the King, who, also, accepted his unprotesting
acceptance of something.

Saudi newspapers have plotted against Sh. Saad’s position, and found the chance
to be very appealing to attack the council of scholars as to weaken their increasing
authority. Consequently, a lot of national observers have committed that this is one
the drawbacks of the auothority of media that have been abused by the .

A lot of Saudi who have been interviewed, express their deep concern of the
freedom of advice and speech directed to the King. Also, the asked for more
transparency with the royal family. Number of scholars of Saudi Arabia such as
Saad AlBraik, Naseer AlOmar, Safar Alhawali, have expressed their concerns
towards this organized and plotted attack to his eminent Sh. Saad Alshethri, saying
that the scholars are the only people that the whole Ummah rely on in their
authenticity and reference of fatwa.

A lot of popele now are wondering, Is Abdullah, the King of Saudi Arabia is in a
transitional stage of changing the law of Saudi Arabia from Sharia to more liberal
self-governmental administration? On the same stage a lot of young Saudi want to
activate public depates and make them. Some Saudi protesting groups have
expressed their grif about this insedient and they also whished for more freedom of
speech on the part of sinser scholars. Because there is a deep feeling that positive
change should not be ‘elitism-ish’ but a comperhiensive one.

The Saudi media is not afraid except from the fearful and powerful voices and this
have been tested throught out the years. A lot of analyzers have condemned some
absence of scholars who used to be forefront players such as the one who have
written about the “‫”هشيم الصحافة‬.

A lot of writers have said about the King, ‘his words are of righteousness and his
deeds are of wickedness. They also said , ‘Do you want really to apply Sharia or
not’
