As a President at D.P. Associates, a division of L-3 Communications, led three successful internal reorganizations that created a Training Center of Excellence within L-3. Developed business strategies to
continue a 10% CAGR growth and achieved a level of dominance in the Navy/Marine Corps aviation training
market. Won over $500M in contracts during my tenure.
As a Vice President and Executive Director of Training Systems at AMERICAN SYSTEMS, established
and/or directed several training services organizations; served as Chief of Training for a Department of State
schoolhouse and oversaw two training centers for the FAA. Grew the business from nearly zero to over
$30M.
As a Navy Captain, served as the Chief of Staff and Operations Officer for all US Forces in Iceland with an
annual budget of $100M; had command of an Aviation Squadron that deployed during Desert Storm; and
achieved designation as a Senior Acquisition Professional eligible for Major Command. In all, served for 24+
years achieving success in a career of ever increasing authority and responsibility.

NEX GEN Consulting, Haymarket, VA June 2014 to Present

Provide consulting services to assist Small Businesses in developing strategies for winning business with the
US Government.
President

Delivered professional advice to small business owners to facilitate external organizational alignments with
large businesses as a partner, a Joint Venture, and subcontractor.
Provided review and assessment services to strengthen Small Business applications with both the US
Small Business Agency and internal Government acquisition agencies within DOD.

D.P. Associates, a division of L-3 Communications (L3 DPA), Alexandria, VA February 2007 to
May 2014

$80M provider of e-learning materials for DOD aviation based platforms and $20M developer of simulators
and curriculum for truck and bus drivers, emergency responders as well as simulators for commercial ship
bridges and engine rooms.
President

Grew the business from $45M to $80M in revenue. Responsible for managing P&L for DPA with 26 field
sites in the US and abroad.
Won over $500M in contracts from Naval Air Warfare Center -Training Systems Division.
Transformed a $7M business simulation business into a $20M effort.
Led the land based simulation effort to achieve $100M. Led the engineering R&D and manufacturing effort
to achieve stage one success by improving resources, reducing cost, and empowering people.
Tripled production, improved quality and achieved a 20% lower cost of business by leading product
improvement efforts to achieve ISO certification. Instituted processes and procedures and achieved ISO
9001-2008.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS Corporation, Chantilly, VA November 1998 to February 2007

A $250M company of over 2000 highly skilled employees with the combined vision to be providers of
information technology and Training Services for government and commercial entities.
Vice President / Executive Director

Grew the business from $6.5M to over $30M. Hired to grow the companys training product and service
line of business and in less than three years, the Division won over $120M in contracts from the Navy.
Brought in over $15M in revenue by winning training simulator production contracts. Successfully directed
customer support offices for various skills attainment for aviation maintainers.
Won a $35M contract with the Department of State Training Center in Warrenton, VA and became the first
Director of the school and transitioned to oversee the operations as the staff increased to meet DOS
requirements.

US Naval Officer (Captain), Naval Air Systems Command, Aviation Training Program Office, NAS
Patuxent River, MD August 1996 November 1998

Executed financial management and oversight role for a $955M training budget execution with over $1.5B in
/program and contract execution annually while serving as the Deputy Program Manager.
Prior assignments as a Naval Officer include:

Chief of Staff/Ops Officer, Iceland Defense Force; Commanding Officer of a Naval Aviation Squadron, VP22, NAS Barbers Pt, HI; Officer in Charge Tactical Support Center and Task Group Commander, NAS
