Release Notes for Business Functions

Business Function Retail, Export of Data to PMR
ISR_APPL_OUTBOUND_DMF: Retail, Export of Data to Promotion Mgmt
(New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 605), the business
function Retail, Export of Retail-Specific Data to Promotion Mgmt
(ISR_APPL_OUTBOUND_DMF) is available. With this business function, you can
successfully integrate SAP ERP with promotion planning functionality in SAP
Promotion Management for Retail (PMR).
This enables you to prepare the following master data necessary to support your
promotional planning activities:
o

Article data (including article hierarchies and merchandise category hierarchies)

Site data (including reference site groups)

Article/site data (including sales prices, moving average prices and listing
information)

Vendor data

Sources of supply data (including purchase prices)

Inventory data

Consumption data

Promotion data

The integration allows for the initial transfer of all relevant data objects to SAP PMR, as
well as delta and ad-hoc transfers.
Effects on Existing Data
Customizing
You can now configure the outbound connectivity to SAP PMR in Customizing by
choosing Logistics - General -> Merchandise Lifecycle Optimization -> Outbound ->
Maintain Control Parameters.
In addition, you can configure data replication framework settings for the SAP PMR
application in Customizing by choosing Logistics - General -> Merchandise Lifecycle
Optimization -> Outbound -> Data Replication Framework -> Configure Applications.
NOTE: In order to connect to SAP PMR, SAP delivers customizing settings via BC sets
which should not be changed.
Business Add-Ins (BAdIs)
For each outbound implementation, a BAdI is available. The BAdI method is called
immediately before the message is sent to the receiving system. The BAdI method gets
all internal data tables which are to be transferred.
The internal data tables are transferred to the receiving system as returned by the BAdI
without further consistency checks.
The BAdIs can be found in Customizing by choosing Logistics - General ->
Merchandise Lifecycle Optimization -> Outbound -> Business Add-Ins.

Business Function Retail, PCI DSS

ISR_APPL_PCI_DSS: Business Function Retail, PCI DSS (New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 605), the business
function Retail, PCI Data Security Standard - Credit Card Information is available.
With this business function, you can support the PCI data security standard for
applications that store or transmit credit card and bankcard data.
In ERP for Retail this implies that the IDoc database in the POS inbound interface has
to secure credit card data, i.e. store encrypted data. In particular, this applies to the
IDoc types WPUTAB and WPUBON which contain these data during transfer.
The PCI-DSS / PA-DSS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements
for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design
and other critical protective measures. It was developed and released by the Payment
Card Industry to help organizations in processing credit card payment transactions
while preventing fraud, hacking and other security issues.

Effects on Existing Data

This new business function does not affect existing data.
Effects on Data Transfer
This new business function does not affect the data transfer.
Effects on System Administration
This new business function does not affect the system administration.

What's New? Release Notes

Business Function Retail, POS Integration via Idoc

ISR_APPL_POS_INTEG: Business Function Retail, POS Intg. via IDoc
(New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (SAP_APPL 605), the business
function Retail, POS Integration with IDoc Size Control is available. With this
business function, you can use Customizing settings to control the IDoc size of the
following POS outbound messages:
o

Sending article master data via message type WP_PLU

Sending EAN assignments via message type WP_EAN

Sending POS customer master data via message type WP_PER

Sending sets (structured articles) via message type WPDSET

Sending empties via message type WPDNAC

Sending POS-relevant exchange rates via message type WPDCUR

Sending material groups via message type WPDWGR

Sending bonus buy data via message type WPDBBY

Sending assortment lists via message type WBBDLD

The IDoc size is defined by the maximum number of segments per IDoc.
Effects on Existing Data
This new business function does not affect existing data.
Effects on Data Transfer
Depending on the Customizing settings for the IDoc type in use, both the size and the
number of the generated outbound IDoc will change. Thus, the runtime and the
memory requirements of the ERP internal and external processes may also change.
For technical reasons, the generation of assortment list IDocs requires to allow for a
minimum size of 100 segments per IDoc. It is not possible to generate smaller IDocs of
this type. The other IDoctypes do not require a minimum size. However, it is only
possible to split the individual IDocs up, if the object being processed (such as an
article) has been completely prepared.
The following applies to all IDoc types: the maximum size of one million segments per
IDoc cannot be exceeded.
Effects on System Administration
If you activate this function, the size of outbound IDocs changes according to the
maximum size defined in Customizing.
Effects on Customizing
You make the Customizing settings for this function in Customizing for Sales and
Distribution, in
POS Interface -> Outbound -> Setting POS Outbound IDoc size
Please note that the Customizing activity Setting POS Outbound IDoc size is not
visible in the system until you activate the business function Retail, POS Integration
with IDoc Size Control.

You can also find supplier catalog products without an article master and create article
master records out of them quickly and efficiently.

by using either the SAP Search Engine Service or SAP NetWeaver Search Engine
Service rather than searching directly using SAP ERP tables.

Business Function Retail, MAP Interface 2

ISR_RETAIL_MAP_IF2: Business Function Retail, MAP IF 2 and SOP
Use
Purchasing List (Seasonal Merchandise)
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (EA_RETAIL 605), the business
function Retail, MAP Interface 2 (ISR_RETAIL_MAP_IF2) is available. With this
business function, you can create rollout groups to logically group your rollouts.
For specific categories of the article hierarchy, you can decide that only rollouts
belonging to a specific rollout group are allowed to create purchasing lists.
When you release a planned material in a purchasing list and create an existing
material from it, the system will hand over the season, season year and rollout
information to the basic data of the new material. As long as the business function is
not active, only the season and season year information are handed over to the basic
data.

Layout Workbench (Non-Seasonal Merchandise)

As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (EA_RETAIL 605), new
enterprise services (SOA Services) are available for the Merchandising to Shelf
Optimization Integration.
By activating the business function Retail, MAP Interface 2 (ISR_RETAIL_MAP_IF2),
you are able to maintain label type and number of labels for each material assigned to
a layout module version.
The integration between SAP Retail and a space management program uses the
following SOA Services (Bundle Merchandising to Shelf Optimization Integration):
o

Maintain MAP Assortment

This service is used to synchronously maintain an assortment in SAP Retail, based on

values received from an external program such as a Shelf Optimization Program
(SOP). The service can create new assortments and update the assignment of
assortments to stores. This service is triggered by the SOP solution.
o

Read MAP Assortment Store Layout Element

This service is used to synchronously read the product assignments of a layout module
version in SAP Retail based on values received from an external program such as an
SOP. It reads product assignments for an existing layout module version and pulls
them into an SOP solution, and is triggered by an SOP solution.
o

Request MAP Assortment Layout Element

This is an outbound service that mainly pushes the product assignments of a layout
module version from SAP Retail to SOP. It has the same message structure as the
Read MAP Assortment Store Layout Element service. This service is triggered by the
SAP Retail solution via the transaction Send to Space Management using SOA
(WRF_SEND_TO_SOP_SOA).
o

Read MAP Store Layout Element Store Fixture

This service is used to synchronously read a fixture assignment to a layout module

version in SAP Retail, based on values received from an external program such as an
SOP. It reads fixture assignments for an existing layout module version and pulls them
into an SOP solution and is triggered by an SOP solution.

Business Function Retail, RMA Cost Allocations

ISR_RETAIL_RMA_3: Retail, RMA Cost Allocations (New)
Use
As of SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0 (EA_RETAIL 605), the business
function Retail, RMA Cost Allocations (ISR_RETAIL_RMA_3) is available. With this
business function you can allocate certain types of costs and rebates to inventory,
accrue markdown reserves and execute check reports to ensure the consistency of the
RMA (Customizing) settings. The additional allocations are included in the inventory
calculation only per RMA and not for any other valuation method, including ERMA. This
development covers three types of cost allocations, the processing of markdown
reserves and other enhancements:
o

Allocation of price differences

Allocation of planned rebate variances

Allocation of unplanned rebates and allowances

RMA processing of markdown reserves and other enhancements

Allocation of Price Differences

Enables the costs from price differences and unplanned delivery costs created during
the invoice verification process, to be allocated to the related RMA objects and the
stores.
Allocation of Planned Rebate Variances
Enables you to capture and allocate the variance between planned rebates and actual
rebate amounts to the RMA target inventory and to stores.
Allocation of Unplanned Rebates and Allowances
Provides a mechanism by which to allocate the cost reductions from unplanned rebates
to the RMA target inventory and to stores.
The configuration of different allocation methods is linked to the configuration of the
documents of agency business in general. IMG under Logistics - General -> Agency
Business.
RMA Processing of Markdown Reserves and Other Enhancements
Markdown reserves allows you to enter a markdown reserve in to the system, allocate
it to the target inventory and include it in the RMA calculation.
It supports the ability to have only annual physical inventories reconcile and reset the
planned shrinkage accrual without the cycle counts doing it .
RMA consistency check reports check for errors and inconsistencies in the
(Customizing) settings.
