Aitbar Sajids heart touching lyrical Odes that keep you in musical, insightful and sentimental
delights all the way through. Take a tour through pages over pages and you would find yourself
landed on the rhythmic surface of deep romantic feelings felt inside your heart.
A few years back when I wrote a few words on the opening page of my book Tripping Soul, To
Aitbar Sajid, my friend, a poet full of romance, a tale of life and a legend, while presenting it to him
in the office of legendry artist Anees Yaqoob in Lahore, I even had no idea about the contents of his
book Mujey Koi Sham Udhar Do. Now, a few days back in a meeting, Aitbar extended a pleasant
surprise to me by presenting his 16th Edition of the same book and once Id opportunity on the same
night to go through this marvelous piece of poetry. I recalled my words written on the Tripping Soul.
How honest were my remarks.
When the battles are fought and won and lost, one may tell you a tale that dwells in
someones soul and becomes like blood runs in the veins and moves to drive ones laughs and cries
silently whispering in your ears. By demonstrating his flair Aitbar achieved the great stature in
certain verses.

Renowned poet Qateel Shafai said Aitbar is poet of adagio silent nights of human sentiments filled
with soft fragrance and beautiful eyes, yet I see him a step ahead of it as he passed through the era
of 1990-2000s, unlike his contemporaries his poetry becomes more consistent and romantic in
nature. He unfolds the romanticism with his imaginary hallucination and rich phrasing. Every Ode he
portrays in words set a throne under the poetic umbrella. His Ode Qurbat imprints the melancholy
figment of his thoughts with incredible structure of words.
Aitbars Ghazals speak new turn in literature and pledge moments direction, Gulzar from
India said in 2003. Let me add more that Aitbars imagism, (a moment in early 20th century English
and American which sought clarity of expression. Ghazals in Pakistan in late 1990s though contribute
literature pleasure, however Aitbars Ghazal flakes away the layers of fantasy beautifully leaving
readers motionless for a while.
As John Keats (1795-1821) was second generation romantic poet along with Lord Byron and
Percy Shelley, his contemporaries have praised his fragment of Rich Imaginary & Phrasing and his
three poems Lamia, Isabella, and the Eve of St. Agnes were considered the finest in English language.
Aitbars Qurbat, Bus Yunhi Chup Ho Jata Hoon and Hijar main Aik Sawal are the finest I find in
present Urdu Odes as Rich Imaginary & Phrasing as he described himself in the verses absolutely.

Legendry poet Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi and Hazrat Ahsan Danish both praised while
commenting on his work that voice of Aitbar sounds towering through his Odes and Ghazals among
his contemporaries. They further admired that the classical touch in use of words and phrases are
the skill that only Aitbar seeks in.
Aitbar has great work at his credit by bringing his almost 50 books in poetry and prose. He
lives in Lahore with his family.
