Deployment of Nationwide OTN backbone based on Huawei 8800 and 6800 to provide Ethernet
and TDM services to all internal and external customers, the network is based on the most advanced
OTN Platform which can carry 80X100G services on a single fiber and can provide range of
services from STM-1 to STM-64, 10G, FC100 FC800 and various kind of TV data rates.
Testing of Huawei solution for upgradation of OTN from 10G and 40G to 100G in du Lab.
Deployment of Nationwide MSTP+ hybrid (ng-SDH) network based on Huawei OSN 7500, 3500
and 1500 for the backhaul of mobile and LTE services.
Installation of different SDH boxes of Alcatel Lucent (AMS, AMU and ADMUs) for various
internal and external customers and handing them over to the Operations.

Installation of L3 DCMEs for International Carrier Relations team to provide redundancy to


international voice in case of major fiber failures.
Migration of Services from third party Fiber to free the fiber and saving huge OPEX for the
company.
Implementation of new Synchronization Network for LTE based IEEE1588v2.
Implementation and bringing into service a new SubMarine Cable Landing Station facility on the
Arabian Sea that connected du to SMW4.
