4.1

Lamp change (fig. 3)

Lamp wear is particularly high when the light source is switched on and off. For this reason there is a
high probability that the light source will fail when switching on or off and not during operation.

Attention! Danger of damage, warranty may become void!

Caution! The lamp is filled with high-pressure gas! Handle the lamp carefully! In
case of damage, the lamp may explode! Wear adequate protective clothing as well as
safety gloves and goggles when handling the lamp!
Switch off the device!
Disconnect the power / mains plug!
-

Unscrew the lamp cover retaining screws on the side of the unit (1).
Remove the lamp cover (2).
If the lamp has been on until very recently, it is still very hot. Allow the lamp to cool down before
you continue. Within a few seconds after switching off the device, the lamp electronics are
discharged so that only non-hazardous residual voltages prevail which no longer represent a danger when touched.
Hold the lamp reflector firmly and pull the plug off the lamp towards the rear (3).
Loosen the retaining screw of the lamp bracket and fold up the lamp (4,5).
Pull the lamp rearward out of its holder (6).
Insert a new lamp in the holder.
Secure the lamp with the lamp bracket.
Reconnect the lamp plug to the contacts.
Reinstall and fasten the lamp cover.
Make sure that the earth/ground cable of the cover has not come off.

Illustration 2: Lamp change

In connection with the lamp change, the following work should be carried
out:
After a prolonged use of the device, deposits (dust etc.) may form inside the device. Such deposits
should be removed with a vacuum cleaner provided with a suitably fine nozzle/attachment. Remove
any solid deposits on the fan or on the IR filter with a soft cloth and pure alcohol or spirit.
Follow the applicable safety instructions for the use of flammable liquids.
