The test and measuring procedures specified in the section entitled "Electrical safety
test" relate to the test in accordance with IEC / EN 60601-1.
Alternatively, the test may be carried out in accordance with EN 62353 / IEC 62353.
The responsibility for complying with the current limit values and the documentation of
any values measured for the first time lies in the hands of the operator.
After repair, all measurement values (specified output values) of the device must be
checked as described in the service manual and readjusted should any deviations be
found.
CAUTION !

Function checks
To prevent incidents caused by aging and wear of the device and the accessories, it is necessary to
service the device at regular intervals. Depending on the frequency of use, however at least once a
year, an expert must check the functional and operational safety in accordance with the specifications of
BGV A3, as well as the manufacturer's instructions.
In addition to the specifications of BGV A3, when testing the "COMB-E-VIEW 5552" proceed as follows:

4.1
Lamp wear is particularly high when the light source is switched on and off. For this reason there is a
high probability that the light source will fail when switching on or off and not during operation.
Unscrew the lamp cover retaining screws on the side of the unit (1).
Remove the lamp cover (2).
If the lamp has been on until very recently, it is still very hot. Allow the lamp to cool down before
you continue. Within a few seconds after switching off the device, the lamp electronics are
discharged so that only non-hazardous residual voltages prevail which no longer represent a danger when touched.
Hold the lamp reflector firmly and pull the plug off the lamp towards the rear (3).
Loosen the retaining screw of the lamp bracket and fold up the lamp (4,5).
Pull the lamp rearward out of its holder (6).
Insert a new lamp in the holder.
Secure the lamp with the lamp bracket.
Reconnect the lamp plug to the contacts.
Reinstall and fasten the lamp cover.
Make sure that the earth/ground cable of the cover has not come off.
