Presentation of fact surrounding the case

Who moved my cheese? The story began when the seven friends Chris, Melanie, Peter, Kerry,
Ana, Carl and Josh were at their lunch time in school discussing about the major changes in
the schools changes due to overcrowding. Each of them has their own perspectives about the
news announced by the principal until Chris told a story that been told by his uncle to him
that might changed his friends point of view 360 degree. They all looked very interested to
hear the story and Chris began his story as his friends wishes.
There was once two mice named Sniff and Scurry also two Littlepeople named Hem and
Haw being who were as small as mice but looked and acted like people today. With the
different characteristics, where the two mice possessing simple brains and good instincts and
the Littlepeople possessing complex brain, they ran through a Maze looking for cheese to
nourish then and make them happy.
Every morning the mice and Littlepeople put on their jogging suit and running shoes, left
their home and raced out into the Maze looking for their favourite cheese with their own
ways. The mice Sniff and Scurry searched for the hard nibbling cheese they liked, as mice
often do, meanwhile the Littlepeople Hem and Haw used their beliefs and emotions to search
for a very different kind of Cheese. The Maze was a labyrinth of corridors and chambers,
some containing delicious cheese but it was an easy place for anyone to get lost. However for
those who found their way, the Maze held secrets and let them enjoy the better life.
Sniff and Scurry used the simple trial-and-error method of finding cheese. They ran down
one corridor, and if proved empty, they turned and ran down another. They remembered the
corridors that held no cheese and quickly went into new areas. Sniff would smell out the
general direction of the cheese using his nose and Scurry would race ahead. They got lost but
after a while, they found their way.
Hem and Haw used their ability to think and learn from the past but they relied on their
complex brain to develop more sophisticated methods of finding Cheese. Sometimes they did
well, but at other times their powerful human beliefs and emotions took over and clouded the
way looked at things and made life in the Maze more complicated and challenging.
Nonetheless, like Sniff and Scurry, Hem and Haw also found their own kind of cheese in
Cheese Station C.

Every morning since they found the Cheese, the mice and Littlepeople dressed in their
running gear and headed over to Cheese Station C. Sniff and Scurry continued to wake early
every day and race through the Maze and always following the same route. The mice took off
their running shoes, tied them together and hung them around their necks ever time they
arrived at their destination so they could get to them quickly whenever they needed them
again.
In the beginning, Hem and Haw also raced toward Cheese Station C in the morning but after
a while they awoke little later each day, dressed a little slower and walked to Cheese Station
C since they already knew where the cheese was and how to get there.
Unlike Sniff and Scurry, Hem and Haw hung up their jogging suits, put on their slippers and
became very comfortable that they had found the Cheese. They felt happy and successful and
thought they were now secure and make themselves feel more at home. Sometimes they take
their friends by to see their pile of Cheese and sometimes share with them. After a while both
of the Littlepeoples confidence grew into the arrogance of success and became so
comfortable and didnt notice what was happening.
As time on, Sniff and Scurry continued their routine. They sniffed and scratched and scurried
around Cheese Station C, inspecting the area to see if there had been any changes from day
before then they would sit down to nibble in the cheese until one morning they discovered
there was no cheese.
They werent surprised because they noticed the supply of cheese had been getting smaller
every day and they prepared for it. As the situation changed, Sniff and Scurry also decided to
change and they were quickly off in search of New Cheese.
Unfortunately, when Hem and Haw arrived at Cheese Station C they were very surprised and
unprepared when no more Cheese for them there. The Littlepeoples behaviour was not very
attractive of productive but it was understandable. When Sniff and Scurry had quickly moved
on, Hem and Haw continued hem and haw. They ranted and raved at the justice of it all.
Next day Hem and Haw left their homes and returned to Cheese Station C again and still the
Cheese was no longer there and they dont know what to do. Haw believed the cheese been
moved all of sudden and Hem was keep questioning and blaming someone who moved their
cheese. Haw thought of Sniff and Scurry. Hem was under estimated Sniff and Scurry. He
thought they are smarter than the mice but then they still cannot figure the problem out.

While Hem and Haw were still trying to decide what to do, Sniff and Scurry were already
well in their way looking for cheese and they finally found the biggest store of cheese which
was Cheese Station N.
Hem and Haw still back in Cheese Station C and they were started to blaming each other.
Haw thought about Sniff and Scurry and wondered if they had found any cheese yet and
imagining they found the cheese then enjoying it.
Haw decided to leave the Cheese Station C but not Hem. They were arguing to leave or to
stay they until one day Haw made final decision to find another Cheese station. Hem kept
with his decision to wait there.
After struggling in searching the New Cheese through the Maze, Haw finally found little
pieces of the New Cheese. The type of Cheese he had never seen before. He entered the
Cheese Station but it was empty but he realized that if he had moved sooner, he would very
likely have found a good deal of New Cheese there. Haw decided to go back to Cheese
Station C to ask if Hem ready to join him and offered Hem bits of New Cheese but Hem
turned down and he only wanted his own cheese back. Haw reluctantly went back out on his
own.
On his way, he was happy when he wasnt being run by his dear. He liked what he was doing
now. Knowing this, Haw didnt feel as weak as he did when he stayed in Cheese Station C
with no Cheese. He saw even depth about himself. Hed been so afraid of never finding New
Cheese that he didnt even want to start looking. But since starting the journey, he had found
enough Cheese in the corridors to keep him going. Now he looked forward to finding more.
Haw kept motivating himself in searching the New Cheese station while he ran through the
Maze. He used his imagination to saw himself finding and savouring New Cheese. He
decided to proceed into more unknown parts of the Maze and found little bits of Cheese.
Even motivated, Haw continued on through the Maze with greater strength and speed and he
finally found Sniff and Scurry.
Sniff welcomed Haw with a nod of his head and Scurry waved his paw. Haw quickly said his
hellos and soon took bites of every one of his favourite Cheeses. With the different attitude as
before, he pulled off his shoes, tied the laces together, and hung them around his neck in case
he needed them again.

After so many challenges faced, Haw finally learnt his lessons and now he enjoying his
cheeses with the mice Sniff and Scurry.

Key issues
1) Cheese resources finished at Station C
Based on this story there have been raced between two mice and two little people to
find cheese and they found it until the cheese resources has finished in the earlier
station. The main issue in this story is about the cheese resources finished at Station
C. This means that once we used some resources for a long time it will finish, since
Hem and Haw ate the cheese without notice that the cheese in decreasing.

2) Not adapt to the changes

In the meantime the mice and little people ate the cheese at station C every day. One
day, the mice realized that the cheese at Station C is decreasing. While the little
people still in the comfort zone. This shows that the mice aware of the changes and
the little people think that the cheese will be unlimited.

3) Have faith in journey

Haw has begins his journey to find a new station and Hem still waiting at the Station
C. While, Haw in his journey he almost give up until he found a bit of cheese at
Station E and motivated himself there is a new station that has full of cheese. Have
faith in journey means that in any journey heading to success do not easily give up if
there are any obstacles and motivate you to achieve it, like Haw that motivated him by
thinking of cheese to achieve his target.

4) Visualize success
At last, Haw has found new cheese at the Station N. The mice also at the Station N.
But, this time Haw ready to overcome the changes by checking the cheese daily and
find new path to another place. In every case or situation we must react effectively
and efficiently to overcome the fear to adapt changes which may heading to success.

Stay until cheese arrive at station C
From my research, the courses of alternative action could be taken if stay until the cheese
arrive at station C, have some risk to be taken when stay at the station C because the
probability the cheese arrive is small. Not only had that if stay at station C may have some
hope that the cheese will arrive with the same taste. Rather than that, if stay at station C, it
may courses of danger or harmful to own body if the cheese not arrive until the end and it
may causes of starving to death.

Find new cheese in other places

The courses alternative action could be taken from the research is find the new cheese in
other places. When make decision to find new cheese it may causes of risk whether can find
new cheese or not. Other than that, it may probability the taste of cheese is not same with the
old cheese. Make decision to find new cheese even found a little cheese it may motive to find
more cheese in future.

Wait for the cheese for while than move to find new cheese
The alternative action could be taken wait at station C for a while when the cheese was
finish, if the cheese descent show of increasing make decision to find new cheese. When
make decision to find new cheese it may be probability whether can find new cheese or not,
whether the taste of the cheese is same or not but when find a little cheese it may give
motivation that can survive may probability can find a big cheese.

Recommendation
1. Do not fear to change.
From this story, the little people are refusing to change. Even the cheese has been
removed, they are still came to the station c and hope that the cheese will re-appear.
The feeling of fear to change is just an obstacle for us to get better in life.
2. Dont think something too complicated.
From this story, the little people thinking is too complicated as compared to the mice
with the simple thinking. Haw have asked hem to find a new cheese, but hem refuse it
because he said its dangerous out there, how if they do not find any cheese out
there and etc. He used to think what could go wrong than what could go
right.Feeling of fear should be respected, because it can keep us out of real danger,
but most of the feeling of fear is just irrational because we over-analyze it, and it just
and obstacle for us to change.
3. Do not always be inside the comfort zone and satisfy with it.
Since the four of them found the station c, the little people is satisfy with the cheese
and feel secure because there is so many cheese and its enough for them last forever.
While, the mice is more alert even on a small changes. They have notice that the
cheese is reducing from day-to-day. So they have prepared themselves to face any
possibilities will occurred in the future.

4. Always keep in mind what is the positive instead of thinking it negative.

Positive thinking will lead to positive action. Positive action will lead to positive
result. After haw decide to go down to the maze, he has found many type of cheese,
even it only on a small portion, it have encourage him to find more and more cheese.
5. Adapt faster.
The mice is well adapt to the situation. They have adapt and taken an action
immediately since they have lost the cheese in the station c. While the little people is
busy analyzing who moved their cheese.

6. The biggest inhibitor to change is lies within yourself.

Nothing is get better until you change. In this story, haw believed that if he change
early, he will get the result (find cheese) more earlier.

Lesson Learned
Finally the conclusion of this story is life will not depend on peoples will, and change will
happen in anytime. The best choice is to adapt to the change, and to find new cheese. This
was shown when the little people Hem and Haw afraid to the changes happen in their
surroundings. Besides that, to facing the change, we need to take action firstly and do not
complicate simple things. Secondly, we need to keep the concept of changing. We begin to
look for new cheese when we still have delicious cheese. Prepare for the new change
anytime. In fact, it is more horrible to be afraid to change our inside fear than to look for new
change. Whatever change happens, we need to remember to change ourselves, adapting to the
change, but hoping it change to what it used to be.
On the other hand, change will happen in any second. There is no predictor in the world. No
one would know what will happen after the change. Note the change is not the biggest tough
we should meet. The biggest one is how to make a decision to accept it and take action as
soon as possible, but not be afraid of changing. Example of this moral value of the story is
about Hem, because at last he found the solution to settle the problem by taking a smart
decision to step forward move out of their place for looking the new cheese even though
Haw argued to stay there.
