Applications :

The following is required to complete the admissions process:


The Abu Dhabi Education Council requires ALL the following documentation to be
supplied to the school BEFORE ENTRY. Please SCAN & EMAIL the following
documents to admissions@ris.ae. The only documents that will be excused are
the UAE Residence Visa and the UAE Resident's ID Card if you are not yet a
resident of the Emirates. Please ensure you submit the documents in SOFT copy
(ELECTRONIC) format only.

4 Passport size photos


Copy of the applicant's passport and visa page from the passport

Copy of the student's UAE Resident ID Card (BOTH sides)

A copy of the most recent school report as well as the final school report from the previous
year, in English or Arabic

Senior School Candidate Reference Form (For Applicantsof Grades 6-12 only)

A copy of the child's immunisation record

Completed Medical Form

A copy of the student's health insurance card

A copy of the Household Electricty Bill to show residential address in the UAE

Copy of the Birth Certificate translated into English or Arabic. Attestation is required for all
issuing countries with the exception of: USA, Canada, Western Europe and Australia.

Copy of the Sponsor's passport and visa page from the passport. Father's passport only for
Emirati applicants

If any answers are 'yes' to the Learning and Behaviours Support section of the application form,
a copy of the diagnostic testing results and educational assessments are required.

A Transfer Certificate is required before the start of school. This must be obtained from the
previous school at the time of withdrawl. If you are transferring from outside the UAE, the
Transfer Certificate is only required for Grade 2 - 12, unless you join after October then it is
required from EY1 to Grade 12. The Transfer Certificate should follow this format. It must be
typed on a school letterhead , signed by the Principal and stamped. Attestation is required for
all issuing countries with the exception of America, Canada, Western Europe and Australia.

Assessment
Once all the application requirements have been met an assessment date will be set. The
students are interviewed and assessed on their English and Math skills.
Candidates can visit Raha for the assessment, or arrangements can be made for students to sit
the test at their current school.
Outcome of Assessment
Acceptance to our school is contingent upon the results of the assessment, student interview
and former school history. You will be advised of the status of your application by email within
7 days from the date of assessment.
If the grade level you are applying for is full, your application will be placed in the waiting pool.
Places in the waiting pool are allocated according to the outcome of the assessment.
Offers

A student may not start the academic year unless all the requested documents are submitted
and the first term fee has been paid in full.
You will need to supply the following before the student can start school:
Transportation Form (if required)
Grade acknowledgement letter
Year-end report card
Transfer Certificate (for Grades 2 to Grade 12)
Transferring within the UAE
You will need to request a Transfer Certificate from the school you are leaving before your last
day. This certificate then needs to be completed by our school after which you need to take it
to the Abu Dhabi Education Zone. Once the Abu Dhabi Education Zone has completed the form
you need to return it to us.
Transferring from outside the UAE
The current school will need to provide a transfer certificate (see template) typed on their
letterhead and stamped with the official school stamp. A hand-written certificate is not
acceptable. The certificate needs to be attested for all issuing countries except America,
Canada, Western Europe and Australia.
