The main function of ZXDT02 S201 charge controller is to convert the nonlinear output
voltage of PV modules into the 48 VDC voltage that is required by communication
equipment. Meanwhile. the charge controller provides multiple functions, such as battery
management, monitoring, DC distribution, and so on.

Chapter 4
4.1 Overview
ZXDT02 S201 charge controller is usually used by mixing with the other communication
power supply. Such hybrid power supply not only expands capacity but ensures system
stability.
ZXDT02 S201 charge controller supports the following solutions for hybrid power supply:
l
l
l
4-1
20090012-002|2011-02-21 (R1.1)
The positive busbar of the charge controller is connected to that of the embedded
power supply.
The loads and the battery packs are connected to the embedded power supply.
The battery connection terminals of the charge controller are connected to the
negative terminals of the battery packs (the battery connection terminals of the
embedded power supply are very small and they cannot be connected to those of
the charge controller).
4-2
20090012-002|2011-02-21 (R1.1)
When using two charge controllers in parallel, users only need to connect the positive
busbar and the battery connection terminal of one charge controller to that of the other.
If configuring two battery packs, connect them to one charge controller; if configuring
more than two battery packs, connect the battery packs to the two charge controllers
separately and connect the battery connection terminals of the two charge controller
in parallel. The battery in-parallel cables should be able to withstand the maximum
current of 200 A.
When the number of load branches is no more than 6, connect the entire load to one
charge controller; when the number of load branches is more than 6, connect the
loads to the two charge controllers separately.
With two charge controllers used in parallel, the PV input terminals cannot be
connected in parallel.

Other Modes
ZXDT02 S201 charge controller can also achieve remote centralized monitoring through
the IP board, other transmission channels (such as microwave equipment, auxiliary
channels of optical transmission equipment) and auxiliary communication equipment. For
details, refer to ZTE Background Power Supply Monitor Software User Manual.
