Join dots and put extra dots in the four corners as shown above.
Erase the extra dots around the Kolam.

8 - 3 interlaced dots (Idukku Pulli) Kolam - Start with 8 dots in the center, next 7 interlaced dots and
again 8 interlaced dots. Then - put interlaced dots at both ends and stop at 3 as shown above.
Finish the Kolam by joining the remaining dots as above. This is the Aishwarya Kolam. Keeping this
Kolam in the center, we can draw more small loops or curves or a big circle around the Kolam.
We can draw this kolam with wet rice flour paste. We can also fill with colour powders.
Put seven dots horizontically, then put six interlaced dots and then again seven dots. Then again put
six interlaced dots and then seven again. Then put four interlaced dots and stop at 1 at both ends as
shown above.
7 - 1 parallel dots (Neer Pulli) Kolam. Start with 7 dots in the center, leave one dot at both ends and
stop at 1.
Put 27 dots 13 lines. Then leave seven dots at both ends - seven lines. Join dots as shown above.
Draw thick lines. Erase the remaining dots. Fill with desired colour powders.

stop at 5 dots. After finishing the kolam, erase the extra dots.
For this Kolam, you have to start putting dots from the bottom. Start from Bottom line and put 16
parallel dots (Neer Pulli) horizontally - 4 lines. Then leave one dot and both ends and stop at 8. Then
increase one dot at both ends and when it reaches 16 dots, then put four lines. Again decrease one
dot at both ends and stop at 8. Finally draw a small tusali leaves in the top.

below. This Kolam can be extended to a bigger size by joining the Kolam side by side, up and down

and stop at 1.

center. Leave two dots at both ends and put two dots - two lines. Then put interlaced dots in
