2).Shelters, Rest Rooms and Lunch Rooms: Every organization must provide adequate and
suitable shelters or rest rooms and a lunch room, with provision for drinking water, where
employees can eat meals brought by them. In case a canteen is maintained in accordance with
the provisions if Section 46, it will be a part of this requirement.
Consumer Cooperative Societies: Most of the large organizations located far from the towns
& which provide housing facilities near the organizations set-up the consumer stores in the
employees colonies & supply all the necessary goods at fair prices.
Basic Chemicals also known as commodity chemicals, including organic and inorganic
chemicals, bulk petrochemicals, other chemical intermediates, plastic resins, synthetic rubber,
man-made fibers, dyes and pigments, printing etc.
Specialty Chemicals also known as performance chemicals, are low-volume but highvalue compounds. These chemicals are derived from basic chemicals and are sold on the basis
of their function. For example, paint, adhesives, electronic chemicals, water management
chemicals, oilfield chemicals, flavors and fragrances, rubber processing additives, paper
additives, industrial cleaners and fine chemicals. Sealants, coatings, catalysts also come under
this category.
Agricultural chemicals especially crop protection chemicals such as pesticides 005. The
share of chemicals in world merchandise trade and global trade of manufactures is estimated
to be 11% and 15% respectively, in 2005. The growth in world chemicals trade has averaged
out to around 12% during the period 2000-2005.
The global chemical industry is continuously working towards reduction of
environmental impact 10 million metric tonnes of petrochemical intermediaries in 2005-06.
Chemical products trade is increasingly getting specialized all over the world. Innovation is
increasingly becoming an important factor to focus on core competence and to become a
leading player in specialty products. In the above context, it is important for the Indian

Ephedrine & Pseudo Ephedrine Hydrochloride, the majority is being exported to U.S.
Malladi group has distinction of receiving the coveted ACHARYA P.C. RAY award which
is the highest award that could be received for technology development, in the recognition of
biotechnology method developed by the group for manufacture of Ephedrine Hydrochloride
through indigenously developed technology.
The group is headed by its chairman Sri M.PRASHANTH, a renowned chemical
technologist and industrialist with many years of experience. Under this dynamic leadership,
the MALLADI group has put together a team of seasoned professional in various units
located in different states of country. The manufacturing units of the group are supported by a
central marketing organization by name SAKS Marketing Services Private Ltd, which is

unit.
This unit has been established here because of plenty of raw materials sources available,
which is used in manufacturing of ephedrine HCL in bulk quantities and also industrial
relations are cordial.
They did not import any machinery and equipment from abroad and they run this unit by
uninterrupted power with DG set back up and adequate water available at site.
From the designing stage on wards they are incorporated with CGMP complaints in
manufacturing of products. They are following zero pollution concept-energy from biogas
and Napier grass cultivation. And onsite and offsite emergency plants with industrial safety

2. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Introduction
This methodology includes need of the study, objectives of the study research design,
and collection of data and the limitations of the study.
The study is confined to a limited period i.e. 45 days. The study does not cover the
entire organization
Accuracy of the study is purely based on the information as given by the respondents.
16
The Sample chosen from various departments at Malladi Drugs Private Limited.
17
The Total no of employees and workers in Malladi Drugs Private Limited is 1200,
over all these the sample size is 120 employees of various levels of departments
and we are approached and information was collected.
3 STATISTICAL TOOLS :
Percentage Analysis:
This is the statistical tool, which may be used in any kind of analysis. This is sample
in nature and provides clear picture about a huge population by breaking it in percentage (per
100). The mode of recruitment, no of employees taking at particular tests and grouping of
employees on the basis of rating of interviewer.

Chi-square test:
A test that uses the chi-square statistic to test the fit between a theoretical frequency
distribution and a frequency distribution of observed data for which each observation may fall
into one of several classes.
Statistical method to test whether two (or more) variables are: (1) independent or (2)
homogeneous. The chi-square test for independence examines whether knowing the value of
one variable helps to estimate the value of another variable. The chi-square test
for
homogeneity examines whether two populations have the same proportion of observations
